Relais la Sommita' Hotel

This is a stunning exceptionally well run hotel. Charming staff. Views are fabulous a stunning place to relax and recharge. If you are going to Ostuni stay here. Excellent restaurant and lots of bars and restaurants near by Thank you all would have liked to have stayed longer

We stayed here after our wedding and had a lovely time. The hotel is very well situated in the centre of town, they also have a carpark slightly out of town which is very convenient so you don’t have to navigate the tiny streets and they have a tuktuk that will come and pick you up and drop you off at the car. The tuktuk driver was very sweet and a great first impression of the hotel. Before we arrived we had a WhatsApp from reception it was very useful to be able to communicate with them via WhatsApp to arrange when we would be arriving and really any questions we had. The reception staff were very friendly and prepared the most delicious welcome drink for our arrival. We had booked a mezzanine suite which was lovely, it had a great view down an alley and eventually at the end of the alley having a sea view! In heindsight I think I would have booked a one level suite as going up the stairs after a glass or two of wine proved a little tricky ;) It very much deserves a 5 star review, but the one negative would be the restaurant for lunch is very pricy! More than happy to pay those prices for a Michelin star meal at dinner, but lunchtime it seemed a little steep and I don’t believe there was an alternative other than going into town for lunch (which is definitely easy enough as restaurants are a 2 min walk away) but I like to be able to sit by the pool and have a club sandwich or a pizza etc.. The pool are is very pretty, and the terrace has fantastic views. I would suggest the pool have a little clean up every morning mainly just a few bugs and leaves in it but I didn’t quite fancy a dip because of it but I’m really nitpicking here just something to flag. Overall a fantastic stay! Would stay again for sure!

What a wonderful gem of a hotel. The team was incredibly kind and helpful, went out of their way, most certainly above and beyond, helping us to feel at home and make our stay special. Breakfast was fresh, plentiful, and delicious, the hotel absolutely beautiful and peaceful (incredible view overlooking olive tree groves and to the Sea), really felt like an oasis. We loved our time at La Sommita, we wish the wonderful La Sommita team all and only the very, very best, and we hope to return one day.

This hotel was a truly 5 Star Hotel. We stayed in a suite and it was really cool and big. The Hotel offered a shuttle service that helped get to a train station and even took us to the restaurants. The staff was amazing ready to help in any way and to make sure that our stay was unforgettable. Would definitely stay again. Great location in a beautiful Ostuni.

The first visit to this hotel was several years ago, we had a room with a loft that was spacious and comfortable and had a beautiful minimalist decor. On this visit, we stayed in a room facing the beautiful view of the valley below, which extends all the way to the sea. Best location in Ostuni. Staff were kind, friendly, and helpful. The buffet style breakfast was quite good, and options a la carte were also available. The concierge was well informed and provided us with any information we required. Two young employees alternate driving the little sommita-mobile very skillfully through the impossibly narrow winding roads of Ostuni, miraculously avoiding the dozens of walking tourists. They deserve a prize!

Our stay could not have been better. We had a room with a private balcony on which we toasted the sunset with a bottle of local wine each night. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. The public spaces are beautifully decorated and perfectly situated for walking around town. We loved our stay there and will go back if we ever travel to the area again.

We spent one night in La Sommita as part of a guided bike tour. For a luxury hotel our room was not acceptable. The air conditioning did not work, after two attempts at pushing a few buttons they delivered a fan which moved around some warm air. The bathroom fan sounded ready to explode. The best for last, after assuring us twice they had gathered all the luggage they managed to leave one of our bags behind. No explanation or offer to assist in delivery to the next hotel. Beautiful hotel but I think the operations are very suspect.
