The best hotel/ryokan in the world!

For those who travel as a family, please pay extra attention to this hotel. The hotel charged us an additional charge of 99,300 JPY (ie SGD $925) for two kids’ half board meals. In the end, we paid almost SGD $1900 for 2 adults and 2 kids for one night stay at Ginrinsou. That is ridiculous!!! Please avoid this hotel.

This is a hotel with a very interesting story. It is located on the hilltop of Otaru Chikko. All rooms are Japanese tatami, very large and clean. You can call the hotel to send a car to JR Otaru Chikko Station for pick-up. It is a bit troublesome to arrive at the hotel by yourself. The dinner and breakfast are very rich and are included in the room rate. For hot springs, in addition to the small hot spring pool in the room, the hotel's open-air bath faces the sea, which feels great! I will stay here again in the future.

A hot spring hotel that I was looking forward to. First of all, the snow scenery on the way up the mountain was beautiful. I understood every word of the gentle Japanese explanation of the receptionist. The sanitation is very clean, which should be the cleanest Japanese hotel I have ever stayed in. The room is super big and the sea view is super beautiful! Dinner is a classic kaiseki cuisine. Only one of the sushi tasted a little fishy, ​​and all the other dishes were good. Finally, when we left, the guy at the front desk called a taxi for us and left us alone. My husband carried two large boxes to the taxi by himself. Every hotel I stayed in before had service staff lined up to bow and say farewell, but not here. It was as deserted as the heavy snow, hahahaha.

This may be the best ryokan hotel in Hokkaido. The hotel architecture and scenery are first-class, the kaiseki cuisine is first-class, and the service is also first-class. I love it. I will bring my children here next time.

My dad likes Japanese inns. We chose this place for one night. Unfortunately, we didn’t get a room with a private bath. So we could only take a bath in the big bathroom. The service was very good. The view was also very good. Especially for dinner, there was my favorite big abalone. In the morning, we climbed up to the attic to see the view.

The location is great, but it's a bit expensive. The old lady is very good at providing service and is dedicated to her job.

If you call from Otaruchikko Station, a shuttle bus will come. All the staff are friendly and this accommodation leaves a calm impression. Needless to say, the meal was delicious and made with fresh ingredients. They take great care of you The building was very old-fashioned and it was a quiet place to stay.

The guest room is about 60 square meters, and there is an independent private hot spring room where you can take a bath at any time. The weather was too cold so I didn't go to the public hot spring pool. The room can see the entire Otaru Port, perfect score💯! Highly recommended!
