We came to Otaru for snowboarding and we stayed here as it's within 25min drive to Sapporo Kokusai Ski Resort. It's around 20min ride to Otaru JR station if going by IC, so distance it's not that bad but you will definitely need a car if you need to go out because there isn't much around the pension. The room is spacious with 2 single beds so we have plenty of space to put our snowboard gears, it's a bit old though but you get what you pay. The heater and shower work well. Room makeup was actually done everyday which I didn't expect.

Small ski resort in 5 mins walk. Great value accommodation.

The old lady at the reception is super friendly even if she doesn’t speak any English. Quality/price was good

From Sapporo to kiroro skiing, the first night after arriving in Sapporo to spend the night here, the next morning before heading to the ski resort location is just in the middle of Sapporo and the ski resort 35 minutes location is excellent Also in the evening you can go to the next hot spring hotel to soak in the hot springs.

Advantages: The natural environment is good, surrounded by green waters and mountains, the air is fresh, and you can see the stars in the sky at night. Disadvantages: It is far from the city, and there is only one large hotel nearby that can provide catering services. There is no hairdryer or kettle for boiling water in the room (the hairdryer is shared at the front desk, and there is a shared drinking fountain providing boiled water in the corridor). There is no table in the room, so it is inconvenient to put things. The room type provided is different from what Ctrip describes (no sofa).

The location of the hotel is not very convenient and it is far from the airport, but it is more suitable for self-driving travel. The hotel does not provide breakfast, so you need to bring your own breakfast. There are no shops nearby, supermarkets and convenience stores are far away! In addition, the hotel will give you a bathing ticket for a nearby hot spring hotel, and you can go to the designated hotel to soak in the hot spring for free.

It was my first time but I had a very comfortable stay.
