This hotel truly offers amazing service! And the dinner was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend booking a room with a private hot spring; the room is incredibly spacious, and soaking in the hot spring while enjoying the lake view is simply blissful. Both the sunset and sunrise views are breathtaking.

It was great that there were two large public baths for men and two for women, and they were open 24 hours. Thanks to this, the baths weren't crowded at all, even for such a large ryokan. Dinner was served in a grand banquet hall at a designated time, and it was so lavish that the dishes barely fit on the table – everything was delicious! The facilities are quite old, so I did notice noises like the motor and the bathroom fan, but all the staff were very kind, and I had a pleasant stay overall.

This hotel is located right next to Lake Biwa and has a large parking lot for guests. The hotel grounds are very spacious and feature four large public baths. Our room was very clean, with a separate toilet and bathroom. The staff were all very friendly. Definitely recommended!

I booked the VIP room and it was huge! It really felt like a traditional ryokan, which was superb! Having the onsen right in the room was also fantastic, honestly. I absolutely loved my stay here. It was so relaxing, and the lake view was just magnificent. Since I'll be in Kyoto for the next few days, I'm definitely coming back for another night to enjoy the onsen and the stunning view of Lake Biwa again.

Wow! What a wonderful experience at Biwako Grand Hotel. Truly the most relaxing part of my Japan trip, the onsen was very beautiful, with fantastic views. We didn't end up getting a pure lake view, but it was still a beautiful and relaxing experience in the tatami room. It was a tad pricey, even for off-season, but with a wonderful kaiseki dinner, it was still a great time.

Clerks are all very nice, and they have shuttle buses to the JR station. However, foreign tourists with tattoos should note that they cannot use public bathroom, but they will still be charged the service fee of it.

The hotel rooms were really great because they had private baths and offered views of Lake Biwa! The rooms were spacious, perfect for families or friends on vacation! The facilities were also very complete, and the hotel had a Lawson open until 10 PM! My biggest disappointment was the central climate control in the room; it was stuffy and hot all night, and I couldn't sleep well because there were so many large mosquitoes by the lake and I couldn't turn on the stove! It felt like being in a sauna all night!
