We were attending a wedding in Oxford and the city centre hotels were very expensive. The reviews for the Black Boy were good so we booked.  It was a joy to stay here and we had a fabulous weekend..  Great location - about 10 mins in taxi from centre and bus stop about 5 mins or so walk.  Buses went to the city centre and railway station.  The room was lovely, as were the welcoming staff.  Breakfasts were very good and the pub had a nice atmosphere and an outside garden area.  Would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Oxford.

We had a wonderful two night stay at the Black Boy. Both rooms were clean and had everything we needed; comfy beds, coffee/tea and friendly staff. We enjoyed a full English breakfast (not included in the room price) and a lovely dinner. The food was excellent. We were lucky to secure a parking spot right in front of the Inn; be aware that parking is limited. This was a perfect place to stay and explore Oxford; the neighborhood was quiet and away from the busy city. We enjoyed a walk after dinner in the quaint neighborhood. Highly recommend staying here!

Room and bedding and towels etc all high quality and clean... staff very helpful especially with directions to the hospital I was attending for an small operation. Needed to leave car parked beyond the usual parking guidance and this was agreed at no additional cost. Highly recommended overall 👌

Our fourth stay at the Black Boy - cosy comfortable room with a delicious breakfast and dinner added on . Good location with parking on the front , walking distance for hospital visits .

Great stay and the team were lovely, especially the lady who sorted out our key, really appreciated the excellent breakfast on Xmas day and can highly recommend for a stay

Really welcoming and friendly staff. Room was comfortable, clean and well equipped. Had evening meal in the pub and even though they had two large groups in for Christmas meals they looked after us really well. Staff are the standout but the place overall was great

All the staff very friendly, professional and supportive. Lovely room, very comfortable bed, fresh linen and with the best shower ever.
