Heinz and Brita were the perfect hosts. They were helpful ,friendly and had a great sense of humour. The room was spacious and clean and had the most amazing view. The breakfast was plentiful with eggs cooked with freshly baked bread, fruit ,yoghurt and cheeses. We could not have found a better place to stay

What a place. We stayed in a beautiful apartment but it’s the view over the bay of islands from your deck that knocks you out. It really is to die for and I doubt we’ll better it during our next month on NZ. Brita and Heinz are charming and thoughtful hosts. It’s hardly ever available for obvious reasons but if you do get the chance to stay then don’t hesitate.

A wonderfully situated apartment/ accommodation nestled above the town looking out I’m to the sea. Great hosts and a well equipped apartment would certainly recommend this property. A short walk takes you into the small town of Paihia which gives you a great opportunity to explore the Bay of Islands.

Our second visit and for a number of reasons. Heinz is a host with years of experience in tourism who goes above and beyond the norm to ensure his guests enjoy their stay. Stunning views across the water to Russell Bay are visible from all rooms.

Amazing expérience ! Everything was great ! The view from the room is so beautiful. Breakfast is gorgeous and we have been very well welcomed. One of the best places we go in NZ ! Super adresse ! La vue est fantastique, nos hôtes adorables, et les petits déjeuners copieux et variés !

The commitment of Brita and Heinz was fabulous. The house is only a 10 minute walk from the city centre and the view fabulous. This and the quality of the room made our stay a very good and a special one. We can everybody advise to go and visit this B&B and its owners.

Fantastic room with the most comfortable bed and faciilities that can't be faulted and the most amazing view. This is an obviously well cared for home as there will not be anything that requires attention. My fault that we spent only 1 night here as so much to see elsewhere and wished we had spent longer.

My husband and I stay at Allegra House the last two nights of our 3 week trip to New Zealand. After weeks of go go go, it was a wonderful place to sit back and chill a bit. The view from our room was amazing and the hosts Brita and Heinz were wonderful. Breakfast was delightful, sitting on the patio overlooking the Bay of Islands. A quick hop to Russell or Waitangi Treaty grounds or just a stroll in Paihia itself. We highly recommend Allegra House as THE place to stay in Paihia!

We spent six nights at Allegra House which I think is sufficient to be able to give a considered opinion of the listing. We had a really great time staying at Allegra House. Our hosts, Heinz and Brita, were a wealth of knowledge about the area and were also extremely friendly and helpful with any queries or problems we had. Breakfast time was really enjoyable out on the terrace looking over towards Russell and watching the various boats out on the water - the breakfast was excellent too. Our room was spotlessly clean with a fantastic view and Allegra House is in a very good location - a short walk to restaurants and tourist facilities. If we ever visit the Bay of Islands again, Allegra House would be our first choice of the place to stay. Thank you Heinz and Brita for helping to make our time in Paihia so memorable.
