Nice and kind team. Beautiful spot and everything is clean. The kitchen is big and good organiced. The rooms are warm at night but when we open the door a litle bit it is perfect. They also could book your tours. I can realy recomand this place.!

A nice hostel. Had all the amenities needed, even though the water pressure was a tad bit low. The receptionist Max was extremely nice and service minded! The kitchen and lounge were up to par and the hostel was always clean. Loved the view and most of all, I loved the vibe! Would recommend a stay if you are in Paihia!

Ideal location to explore Paihia. Clean, tidy and bright. Facilities and all amenities are considerately provided. All staff are so kind, helpful and hospitable. My encounter with Scott in the front desk was a terrific, happy and memorable experience. He tried to help and delight me in every way possible. The feeling and vibe was extraordinarily positive. Out of 100 aspects he has helped; only 1 item failed; that was, the height of the upper bunk bed could only be around 60~80 centimeters? I think anyone with height over 150 centimeters cannot even sit-up on the bed. I could even say it could be a suffering to stay in such bunk nook. Be aware!

It was my first time in a very long time in a back packers sharing all common areas. I feel a cleaner should be on hand to clear the areas left messy by alot of people with low cleanliness standards. The kitchen shared equipment needs to be update ie fridges & cupboards. The room I shared was stuffy with no windows and a noisy air vent humming all night so this was uncomfortable. A lovely senior staff member helped with our non working room facilities. Air con should be in every room esp with 2 or more people sharing. The view and location was amazing. Linen clean and comfy beds. I would request a room with windows next time. As we were on a road trip parking was an issue when unpacking our personal effects. possibly obtaining a few spaces in the back of the complex would be convenient. all in all a pleasant 2 day stay.

Fantastic low cost accomodation. Tayliah was a great host. Perfect central location with everything an easy walk away. No parking except on the street, but this was fine for overnight parking. Would highly recommend.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the amenities were good. Lovely views from the common area and kitchen which were large and comfy. Room a little tight but for the time I was actually spending in there and the price of the stay I think it's not bad. The location is super convenient too, so close to the intercity bus stop is and pretty much in the centre of town with the eateries, shops and the wharf close by. Would return.

It's all about location and staff here, particularly Gillian. (And, they answer their phone!) She was extremely helpful, professional, and kind. It's thanks to her and her knowledge of the North Island that I found some cool spots to hang out in. The kitchen and common room have a beautiful (although somewhat obstructed) view of the ocean, and are spacious. There were enough showers to go around, although I think some additional common toilets could be added--two per gender weren't enough. I stayed in a private room two nights and a dorm for one. Both were comfortable stays. When I moved to the dorm, I was worried about noise as it was right next to the common areas. But staff were good about closing the door at 10:30pm. Some hooks or additional racks would be handy in the private room bathrooms. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property.
