What a wonderful hotel! Everything’s perfect from the check-in to the moment you (do not want to) leave: (only) 12 spacious, very well-equipped cottages located around the lake, where you can relax in your private plunge pool and/or watch hundreds of birds from colourful kingfishers to beautiful peacocks; a beautiful pool, a great rooftop bar and tasty food in the little restaurant. And the birdwatching trip to a nearby dam was also an excellent experience. Just be aware of the bees that were very aggressive when we were there

We visited in early Jan when it was pretty cold. We stayed for 4 nights. The place is an Instagrammer's dream...so picturesque... barren as well as green in places, a lake, peacocks running around! Not to mention the pool which was out of the world. The staff is very friendly and caring. The food is fantastic- we tried rajasthan fare every single day. There were trips around the property to the sunset point, then to a fort in ruins... a couple of breakfasts were served in their veggie garden. There are only 12 cottages in this huge property. The cottages have everything u need and r very pretty. We got the farthest ones which meant we had beautiful walks before and after every meal. In all simply 5 stars

A wonderful peaceful retreat. The only place in India that we have had no noise at night time and complete privacy in our cottage. The accommodation was very spacious and well laid out and the food was the best we have had so far in India. We thoroughly recommend the herding activity which Sarthak took us on ***** with Nen Singh who drove the jeep. We joined The herders Kishanji and Sogji at their home and then drove the goats and sheep through the village to their grazing fields. They started a small fire over which they cooked chickpeas for us to eat and heated up some sheep milk to make Marsala chai for us to sit down and drink with them. They also milked a goat into a cup which we drank and it was so frothy and delicious. All the staff looked after us really well and sunrise yoga with Amul by the hilltop water tank was an experience we will never forget either. The only downside to our stay was the extremely rustic steps everywhere which were a huge trip hazard as they were uneven and jagged and varied massively in height from 4” to almost 18”.

Brij Lakshman Sagar is one of the finest properties I've been to in terms of hospitality and service. The food, the activities, the staff, the attention to detail in everything is just stellar. Some of their staff members - Pooja, Nakul, Sarthak and their manager - Dilip, they're all very warm and sweet. The plunge pool and the amazing food just elevate the experience. I would recommend it to to everyone who is looking for a different yet luxurious experience.

The stay at the brij Lakshman Sagar was awesome . The cottage was fabulous. The vibe of this place is energetic and it is an experience of village of India. Food was tasty and lovely .overall a must visit place . You should never miss the experience of kayaking .

We had a very nice and memorable stay at this resort. It truly is a hidden gem in the middle of nowhere! The food and customer service is amazing. It was a wonderful experience. The resort offers a good variety of activities to choose from. We tried nature walk which was approximately 1 hour long hike through the resort property, night time star gazing and pottery. Pooja did a fantastic job to take us through nature walk in the morning. Sarthak is very knowledgeable and he gave us excellent commentary while facilitating star gazing Tanya took us for pottery lessons. Vikramjit took care of us at sunset. This is a very unique place which offers excellent view point for sunrise and sunset We will definitely visit again.

It’s an oasis with the perfect amalgam of old world rustic charm and luxury….from the mud houses to the single rock cut pool to the fine dining… this place will surprise you at every step… please don’t forget to hear and motivate the virtuoso on flute-Ravinder!! yes i know you have seen all the images of the pool... and the rooms .. and that is not what i want to share about... its the amazing hospitality professionals behind the scene at Lakshman Sagar.. who truly make this a property worth visiting again.. Let me start with Sarthak.. who is a senior naturalist at Lakshman Nagar and left no stone unturned to ensure we had a memorable experience in every activity we tried... he was unwell on the day of our horse riding and village tour and we did not even come to know about this..as we showed great attention to details at all time.... I would also like to mention about another naturalist Tanya whose enthusiasm with regards to her work was truly infectious a true professional to her core Tanya also made sure that all activities we did with her remained memorable.. And i would also like to mention Jinnie whose love for animals sets her apart from everyone else... We also would like to raise a shout out to Nakul at the restaurant who is carrying his IHCL hotel experience with him to also ensure that each and everyone is well fed.. and last and not the least .. we are big fans of the true grit and determination of the Visually impaired flutist Ravindra whose story should inspire you.. there are so many more people... i cant remember their names.. but we miss the wonderful times we had.. and cant wait to go back.. my sincere big thank you to sarthak,, tanya, jinnie and nakul...

Down a rutted road , past a rural village lies the Hunting lodge and lake of Lakshman. The idyllic setting with its twelve cottages around the lake affords serenity and peace. We loved the earth floored, mud walled cottage with all its modern conveniences, but a keen eye to remain rustic and local with a 0km mindset. In our brief stay we were not only well fed by Jai and Nakul and their team, but we were made to feel like honoured guests at every turn. A spice paste demonstration was arranged for us and , as eager bird watchers we loved a wonderful Jeep drive through local farm lanes and roads and even into the jungle. All the more because Dayal the head naturalist and driver and Sarthak a young, quick-eyed and very knowledgeable bird expert helped us spot so many new species. A wonderful experience.

One of the most incredible places we have ever visited. Accommodation inspirational and well designed large rooms. An experience with nature not matched anywhere we've been. Tranquil and quiet apart from wildlife. Nice small selection of activities. Staff are the most friendly, attentive and happy we have ever encountered - so engaging. Food excellent - chefs absolutely on the money producing high quality locally (on site) grown products. A must visit - suggest minimum of two nights - optimum three.

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights en-route between Jodhpur and Udaipur, during a 16 day 'Golden Triangle' trip. It provided a perfect relaxing break from the frenetic experiences of the cities and sights of Delhi, Agra and Rajasthan. We were very well attended to at the Brij Lakshman by Jai and Pooja, and thoroughly enjoyed a morning yoga session with Amul, the dawn nature walk with Saarthak and the cooking class and spice making demonstration. Our cottage, No. 12, was beautiful, and located in an especially remote spot with a picturesque view of the lake. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and must say that Mr Singh runs a very efficient operation.

My husband and I just returned from a wonderful vacation at Brij Lakshman Sagar, which we discovered through Small Luxury Hotels while choosing between this and a property in Jawai. I’ve always admired Rajasthan’s hospitality and wanted to experience it with my husband—Brij was the perfect choice. We stayed for two nights and enjoyed a range of unique activities: a sunrise trek, breakfast with locals, high tea atop a rock at sunset, stargazing, and spice mixing—all meticulously organized by a thoughtful team. Special thanks to Pooja, who ensured our trek arrangements were flawless. A truly memorable moment was watching the sunrise and sunset with a cup of chai on a beautifully arranged mattress, complete with snacks. I’ve never felt so special! The food was fresh and flavorful; every dish was amazing, especially the gatta curry—a must-try. The rooms combined rustic charm with modern amenities, evoking the feel of a village. Although the plunge pool was a bit disappointing—too shallow and often dirty—the abundance of peacocks roaming outside added a magical touch. Another highlight was the stargazing session with Sarthak. His deep knowledge made the experience even more captivating as we learned so much about the night sky. Overall, Brij Lakshman Sagar exudes a peaceful, enchanting atmosphere that welcomes you from the moment you arrive.
