Desert Lodge

Room was filthy. The bathtub was clogged and water would not drain. Toilet had a noisy leak all night. Told the hotel manager but he said he just got the property. We needed a place to sleep for our children so we stayed that night after a late check in, but we checked out early next morning and demanded a refund for the night we did not stay. They refused.

Cool little vintage motel just south of downtown Palm Springs. Great location, it has a pool. You get what you pay for, the property could use a little tlc The towels were not adequate. I had to buy my own towels at Walmart. The staff is friendly enough. This place is good if you just need a place to crash for the evening. On the bright side, it’s down the street from Elmers café, which has the best brunch in town.

Where do start?!?! Room had wall holes that were patched but not painted, shower stall floor was dirty (wear sandals!), dirty floors, maid left her cleaning supplies in bathroom…. Never again

We enjoyed our stay the hotel was cute and the room had plenty of space. The service was great and we will defanitely be back.

I checked in but did not have a good feeling and ended up staying elsewhere because I had a long drive in the morning and needed a good nights sleep. I booked because there were enough ok reviews, I really just needed a place to sleep, and wanted to check it out. I liked the midcentury motel design and potential to be surprised, but it wasn’t there. I really hope the owners invest some $$$ and give the place a new life because it’s a really cool spot. So much potential.

Bathroom was very dirty looks like if they had been working on ceiling but didn’t clean their mess dust all over I myself had to do some cleaning good thing I carry extra sheets and blankets cause blankets were dusty!! And to top it off we were by the stairs which there’s people in and out talking loud probably chilling there too. Sorry NO I do not recommend this place the outside looks great but not the inside

I would call this place short of being a dump. I checked in on a Friday night. noticed the door lock was red. but didn't know what that meant. Opened the mini fridge to put some bottled waters. There was lots of dead insects; and a wet towel on the bottom, probably to collect water? The toilet was brown at the bottom. Like it needed cleaning or to be a new toilet. The shower stall floor was all cracked and missing pieces. There was lamp with only a lightbult, no cover; strewn across the top of the wall between the bathroom and bedroom. which did not work. Saturday night when I returned to my room, the door would not open. I tried several times for about 15 minutes. Gave up. Walked down to the front desk, but of course at that time, it was closed. So I called several friends to find a place to crash for the night. The next morning I drove to the Lodge. Told the onsight manager what happened. He checked the door; and said the battery pack was dead. So then he had to call the maintenance man to come over and replace the batter pack. So I had to wait another half hour. I told the manager that I should receive some sort of credit for not being able to sleep there Saturday night. He said it was my fault, because I should have rung the doorbell on the other side of the gate. of course I did not know this. And I still think I am owed a credit. So I highly recommend DO NOT stay at the Desert Lodge.

The property was old, run down, bad paint job, floor was dirty (my bare feet were filthy walking in there), smelled of smoke. The wall outlet didn’t work for TV, micro, light. Maintenance had to run an electrical cord under the bed to the TV wall. Towels were old and thin. I left after the second night. Couldn’t sleep one more night in that dump. (I don’t normally review, but I had to speak out.)

This place should be condemned. Old, dirty, small, seedy. Never going back.
