My husband booked a getaway for 1 day at Hotel Zoso. We wanted to try a new place and it was a pretty nice hotel but the management and staff are ridiculous. We checked in around 3:30 p.m and got a phone call that our son was sick so we checked out no later than 5:50 p.m. ( 2 hours total we stayed) we told the front desk that we were leaving due to a family emergency and checked out - after we paid $880 for an entire night. Next morning (Sunday)when everything was settled I called the hotel and a girl named Chella answered and was very nice and told me that the manager will be in on Wednesday and that the room appeared to have been checked out that morning at 5:30 a.m. So I explained to her that it wasn't us and on Wednesday when I called back to speak to the manager Chella told me she wasn't at her desk and she would explain the situation to the manager. Fast forward an hour some guy calls me (not the manager) and tells me that they will only refund $195. Not only is that a slap in the face but I'm wondering what kind of shady stuff is happening at this hotel and who stayed in the room that my husband paid for. Very unprofessional

I started vacationing in Palm Springs last year, I usually stay at Agua Caliente but recently found out about Avalon. I regret not knowing about Avalon before as I frequent Agua Caliente every month. It is incredible to me that both hotels are about the same rate for a night and I can get a bungalow in Avalon where in Agua it will get me a room. The staff at Avalon are professional, friendly and attentive. The amenities and rooms are clean. I also love that they are dog-friendly. I love Avalon!

Palm Springs hotels are lower in price. Palm Springs hotels are basically in the form of hotels because they are closer to Los Angeles and the housing prices are generally very high. Especially on weekends, they are basically 1000+. This hotel can park for free. As our transit station to Redeem Mountain and Ole is good, we just sleep a bit, the rooms are average and the health is average. If you rest overnight instead of coming to vacation, this hotel is OK of

3 stars is because of the hotel customer service. I felt that the check-in process could have been nicer. I arrived at around 3:30pm when check-in time is 4:00pm. The front desk woman said that the standard king room was not yet ready. Since the room was not ready, I asked if they could accommodate with another (maybe better) room. Suddenly- there was a room available with 2 queen beds. I overheard the front desk person next to the person who was helping me tell their guest that their standard king room was not ready- but, to apologize they would be giving him a free room upgrade. So, I asked the hotel person why he was offered an upgrade and I wasn’t- to which she basically brushed it off and said that I would have a Mountain View. FYI the Mountain View is the front hotel parking lot and street. I had to ask if they had any drinking water available for guests in the lobby to be given a small bottle of water. Otherwise, the water was not offered. The highlight of the hotel is the pool, in my opinion. It is nice-sized, heated, and clean. They also have many pool bed chairs. There are two jacuzzis. The larger one did not seem to be working. Self-parking is $18/day, however it’s uncovered and you could opt to park outside at the street curb instead. The hotel is located within walking distance to downtown Palm Springs. I think this is one of the main reasons most people choose to stay there.

The hotel itself is good - nice/basic room in great location walking distance from downtown. The staff/maids are great. The PROBLEM is the people who stay there. In my roughly 20 nights i have stayed there in the past few months, half the time my neighbors were great - quiet, considerate, etc. The other half the time they were TERRIBLE - loud, thin walls, sketchy, which means you can't sleep (earplugs are not enough). It's close enough to downtown where the homeless folks drift around the place. The hotel is big enough where they could set aside a "quiet wing" where like-minded folks could stay, and let the partiers, folks with kids, stay in another section. Currently, you are at the mercy of who books the room next to you - and that is a dodgy proposition.

Breakfast needs to be paid for order. It costs about 15-20 dollars. There is a parking lot next to it, but no one tells you to charge it. The final bill is $ 40 a day. It is really not understandable. This hotel is misleading or ambiguous. The price is misleading for invisible consumption. I rarely comment on it. I have stayed at this hotel and ca n’t help reminding you not to be misled by the 4.7 rating. In fact, the feeling is quite bad. Pillows and quilts have a heavy smell. It is suspected that it was not cleaned or not changed at all. The service is not as warm as the ordinary Hampton inn or best western. Although it is a bit new, it is full of opportunism, the facilities are very cheap, and it is annoying. It's clear that mineral water is charged, but it says FRED, and it hides the D behind so that you can't see it. It is mistaken for FREE. The typical brush is small and smart, and the small price tag is affixed to the bottle cap. Some brush all kinds of small and smart hotels, even the name is a bit suspicion of plagiarism crown, in the future will not live in this hotel.
