Best Five Star Hotels in Palma de Mallorca

We spent three nights here mid May. A lovely, relaxed few days in a great hotel. We will return. Staff friendly, beach in front is great, beds are super comfortable, lovely views from our eighth floor balcony. Yes Cala Major is not the most upmarket place but the hotel is on the outskirts and as far as we could see the first location from Palma centre that has a proper beach rather than a marina view. Ten mins by taxi to the city centre. Hotel restaurant was great for dinner when we arrived late at night and a final lunch before we left. Breakfast was great. Two minor points- firstly our toiletries in our room were not full, they should be filled before every guests arrival I feel. By the end of our stay getting hair conditioner from the pump was a five minute job!! Secondly breakfast buffet (superb choice) needs small plates and spoons need to be laid on the table with knives, forks and coffee cups. Minor points. We will return, we have decided it will become our child free mini break spot!

Although it was a little far from the city, it was really clean and I had a great experience. The sunset seen from the top floor of the hotel was so beautiful that it was a memory that will last a lifetime! There is a sauna, so we recommend bringing your swimsuit.

Welcome to paradise. This hotel is absolutely beautiful. The staff were amazing, so friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The hotel is situated off a narrow street and within easy walking distance to the shops and restaurants. The rooms were very well appointed and always immaculate. Breakfast was really good with lots of choice. The only criticism I would make about breakfast is that you should provide guests with a menu for hot breakfast. We had a few drinks in the bar during our stay and it was very quiet. An idea would be to have some low level background music on. It truly was a delightful stay at this hotel. Palma is such an amazing city with plenty to see and do. Thank you to all the staff at the Summum for a great holiday.

This is my second visit to hotel Gloriasauntjaume and it really was as good as, if not better , than I remembered. The location is just fantastic , literally a stones throw from all the key areas yet in a quiet street . The facilities are superb with : A fabulous roof terrace to enjoy coffee , lie in the sun , cool off in the plunge pool with jacuzzi or to have a cocktail ( I really recommend the Gloria cocktail of vermouth /cava) watching the sunset over Palmas church steeples/ roof tops. ( my default on this trip!) Better still when the sun sets move to the indoor pool and spa area - these facilities are just a real luxury that you really do not expect to find - with pool , sauna, steam room and loungers you can continue to relax and unwind !! Hotel rooms are just beautifully and stylishly furnished /decorated in the period yet practical incorporating Bluetooth sound systems and smart tv systems and great lighting - I was lucky enough to get allocated room 103 on this occasion with 2 huge floor to ceiling 12ft windows with balcony and free standing period bath with art deco lighting - but my previous room allocation was equally grand I didn’t eat in the hotel restaurant this time for dinner but I heard great things from a fellow guest - what I can testify for are the breakfasts (and cheese board)- the quality and presentation of every item was just first class and the cooked menu choice just superb- a taste sensation !! BUT as always it’s the team at any hotel can make or break an experience and this team are just soooo accommodating - from my initial enquiry and throughout my stay each and every person I met ( reception , bar staff , breakfast staff , chef , room service and maintenance ) were genuinely friendly and welcoming wherever possible anticipating my needs - a special mention to Laura from breakfast , Lisa from the bar and of course Daniela and the other front of house staff ( apologies I didn’t get all your names …but each one of you enhanced my stay in some way ) Just a fabulous hotel - the hotel manager should be very proud of the team they have !

Everything is good except the room is small

Absolutely loved our stay at the Antigua Palma. The hotel staff are the friendliest we have ever known. They were informative and very helpful when dealing with any requests or sorting out the odd problem. The location of the hotel is great, in the centre of the old city but tucked away. The rooftop is a lovely spot for lunch and catching some sun. The rooms are beautifully furnished and very well equipped. Loved the turn down service treats. Breakfast was excellent and all overseen brilliantly by Melissa. We had a fantastic stay in Palma and the hotel was a major part of a lovely week.

We had a 3 day business event at the Victoria Gran Melia and were very happy with the organisation (thanks to Marta). The meeting rooms very spacious and really nice and as they are located in a different building to the main hotel it was quiet and we had the place to ourselves. The staff were very friendly and helpful and extremely flexible when break times had to be changed with very short notice. The rooms we had overlooked the marina and were also very spacious and comfortable. The only point I'd mention is the check-in. We had 50 people and everyone had to give their passport details as well as a credit card. This could be sped up by having the team upload the information prior to arriving but due to GDPR rules we weren't allowed to collect passport details. The receptionists were unfortunately very slow and some had to wait more than 30 minutes to check in. But apart from that we can highly recommend the Victoria Gran Melia for business purposes as it's also a mere 20 minute stroll along the marina to the centre and the concierges are very helpful with organising taxis.

We opted for this hotel as plan b as the family hotel for the wedding was booked. Location for this hotel is prime in the chic district for small restaurants and fancy shopping. Check in was a breeze, and we were escorted to our room after a thorough tour of the small yet very well appointed facilities. The room was #7, and it was perfect. Great AC and shower … large tv with cable. We were served out morning cappuccinos spotlessly, and the restaurant freshens and quality was superb. Cold champagne bottles and elegant service. Beautiful bar area a terrace too. Did not visit the rooftop pool area. Elevator was damaged and fixed immediately..!!!! Damaris and Danny were outstanding in solving private transportation logistics to our group, as well as last minute large group reservations for fine dinning. This hotel was a great surprise. Would return to this hotel as frequently as possible.

A very dignified and beautiful hotel in the old town of Palma. Check in was quick and friendly. The rooms are large and very comfortable. The fairly high price is definitely justified given this location and amenities. The rooftop pool alone is more of a standing pool and not suitable for swimming.
