We stayed here for 2 nights as we toured this area. The hotel is clean and well maintained. The room was nice and the bed comfortable. We had breakfast with our stay. There was lots to choose from at the buffet...the bread is delicious. We also enjoyed eating a delicious meal in the restaurant for dinner. All the staff are very nice and speak English. Would stay here again if in the area.

Beautiful hotel. Rooms are large and very comfortable. Main eating and greeting area is elegant and beautifully restored. It is a very nice garden, pool at the hotel itself is surrounded by fruit trees. It is a quick walk or bike ride to the historic downtown and Cathedral.

This place is a converted monastery. Its restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It has a very large outdoor pool. Much of the food its restaurant serves is grown in its spacious garden. The town of Palma Del Rio is walkable from the hotel. It has AC, an elevator, two floors, but no screens on the windows. The rooms are large but the bathrooms are on the small side.

Stayed here as part of our cycling trip. A former Franciscan monastary bulit in 1492, it was turned into a lovely hotel about 20 years ago. Every wall and ceiling was beautiful. Our room was spacious and overlooked the working gardens and very large pool. If you happen to be in Palma, stay here!

This place is eye candy. I couldn't get enough of the beautiful architecture and arches. We first had room 17, which was bigger than what we got, but it was darker and farther away from our friends. So, we got room 10, good sized bedroom and bathroom, with bidet and shuttered windows. Two twins pushed together which was fine by me. Small refrigerator, closet space and lights by the bed and a desk...really a charming room. Ouside our window was the pool. Taking a walk around the property was fun, as well, seeing the gardens and fruit trees and piece de resistance, the courtyard with 2 colors of bougainvillea with tables and umbrellas. How wonderfully inviting. Breakfast had all the fare one needed. And our bike Tour ate there for dinner one night and it was lovely, as well. We had a long table all set up for 12 people, very attentive servers and the food was delish. Need to say something about this small town...its easy to get around by walking and the perfect size for shopping. Oh, and don't be afraid of the church bells, they stop at bedtime.

Amazing hotel. Very quiet room. Enjoyed the wonderful breakfast a lot. The personnel was very friendly. The owner has a charming dog that was a lot of fun to watch, running around. The hotel is a beautifully restored monastery, one feels part of history when staying. Highly recommended!

Somebody has spent millions renovating this old monastery and turning it into a great hotel. It is totally under used, maybe a quarter of the rooms occupied but you stay in a very extensive historic building with a great pool and grounds. The rate on the superior bedroom door was 250 euro, we paid only £80. Not worth 250e but certainly worth more than £80 and breakfast was worth the extra - great setting.

We needed to stop over in Palma del Rio on our cycle ride from Cordoba to Sevilla. Reception telephoned us when we were en-route to ask what time we would arrive, as they are not staffed full time. On arrival, we were checked in, shown around and instructed to log onto their WiFi and download the app to open the doors outside of Reception hours. We were shown to a twin room on the first floor and we asked to swap to a double on the ground floor. The walls are very thick and, together with the solid tiled floors, hold the cold in December. There were virtually no soft furnishings. The in-room air-conditioning was able to warm the room after a few hours, but the floor remained chilly. The Restaurant was closed and so was breakfast service. There is a Nespresso machine available toake your own coffee any time in one of the salon rooms. Our bed was comfortable and we slept well, despite the loud broadcast Christmas music from the neighbouring church steeple loudspeaker together with the bell-ringing. At check- out, Reception was closed and we dropped our room key in the provided basket and let ourselves out using the App. Would we come back? Maybe in warmer months.
