Sheraton Palo Alto Hotel

The location is fantastic, right by the main entrance of Stanford University, which was incredibly convenient for someone like me who wasn't driving. Although there's a railway line behind the hotel (for trains to San Francisco), I didn't find it noisy, and the room hygiene was good. Just across the railway tracks, there's an area with several restaurants. I highly recommend the Vietnamese restaurant there, especially their pho with beef bones – the beef bones and meat were huge, something I'd never seen before! The next day, I took the train to San Francisco, and the station was just a 5-minute walk away. Super convenient.

The room was clean and tidy, quite good by US standards. A major plus is that this hotel doesn't charge taxes, and the deposit is refunded in full to your original payment method. The surrounding area is also very nice and safe. It's close to Stanford University, about a 10-15 minute walk.

It used to be a Holiday Inn, then it was rebranded as a Sheraton. It's pretty good, and it even has a swimming pool. I also saw a hummingbird by the entrance!

The hotel's location is quite good, very close to Stanford. It's a 5-minute walk to downtown (DT) with lots of great food options, and a 10-minute walk to Stanford's shopping center. The hotel environment is also very pleasant; sitting by the pool to eat and drink is quite comfortable, though the wine selection is limited. The hotel facilities are a bit old, and it's quite unusual that the room didn't have wine glasses or a corkscrew. However, the bedding was comfortable. You really have to lower your expectations for hotels in the US. They don't proactively confirm the bill at check-out; the pre-authorization is charged directly and only appears on your credit card statement a bit later. This was the same at the next hotel I stayed at. My understanding is that in the US, trust is a fundamental operating principle.

A beautiful hotel directly opposite Stanford, within walking distance of Palm Drive. The hotel has a charming Chinese garden and a lovely swimming pool. The kids had a great time playing in the pool after visiting Stanford, even interacting with children from other countries. It's a fantastic hotel for a relaxing getaway.

This hotel is pretty standard. It's quite close to Stanford University, which was convenient as I had a lot of things with me for an enrollment. I wanted to extend my check-out by two hours, but even after Ctrip's Black Diamond customer service communicated with the hotel, it wasn't approved. This is a bit different from hotels in China. However, storing my luggage was quite convenient.

We only stayed one night, but the hotel was great. It's right next to Stanford and within walking distance of a small shopping area just outside Stanford, which has lots of good restaurants. The hotel also has a small pool where many kids were swimming, creating a very warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The room was a bit old and the lighting was a little dim. However, the courtyard environment was very nice.

Pretty good, suitable for business trips.
