Myself, my boyfriend, and 2 children stayed at Marinn Place for 4 nights this past week. We had 2 rooms which I requested be next to each other and the hotel accommodated that. When we arrived, we were greeted by Astrid (who also checked us out on our last day), we were a bit flustered as we had been up since 3 am and had a bit of a debacle at the airport trying to pick up our rental car. Astrid was very friendly and reassuring! We were confused about the parking (saw the hotel had free parking) and had circled the block 2x looking for it. We eventually parked on the street and walked to check in. Astrid explained it was free valet parking and to pull up to the front and our car would be parked for us. The valet process was seamless and easy. Our rooms were on the 9th floor. You must use your room key to have the elevator go to your floor, we appreciated this extra safety feature of the hotel. We liked that our rooms were off in their own corner on the floor and one room was a bit larger and had an amazing view, if possible, I would request a corner room to have that experience. We had a perfect view of Iglesia del Carmen from our room. The room was very clean, and the bed was so comfortable. We had zero complaints about our rooms. Complimentary tea, coffee and 2 bottles of water were included, as well as all toiletries. I have stayed at a lot of hotels and normally have a lot of trouble getting comfortable and falling asleep, not at this hotel! There was no noise to be heard from any other rooms and very minor noise from the street. Breakfast- For an included continental breakfast what was provided was more than adequate. I saw some complaints about the breakfast in reviews, I think this may be due to what people may feel a continental breakfast means. In the states it can mean anything from a few pastries and coffee to what this hotel provided. Continental breakfast is not meant to be an elaborate buffet. This was Panamanian influenced, so if you are expecting something more American (like bacon, sausage, waffles, etc.) you may be disappointed. That said here is what was included on the 3 mornings we ate breakfast there and the offerings did change slightly day to day. Beverages: Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, 2 different juices, and water. Hot Items: Scrambled & hard-boiled eggs, meat dish (usually chicken w/ veggies or a sauce), fried item (empanadas, fritters, yucca fries, etc.), pancakes. A few cereal options Cold Items: Fresh fruit, Salads, bananas in cream with raisins, yogurt with toppings, meat and cheeses. Patries: Multiple types of breads, cakes and pastry Spreads: Butter, Jams, Nutella, etc. On the top floor was the Gym, Guest Laundry, and Roof Top Pool. The pool was warm and the city view incredible. It is small but we visited each day at different times and never found it to be too crowded to go in. Our first night there we ate at the hotel because we were exhausted and found the food to be pretty good for room service/ hotel
