Idili

Another very happy stay at Idili house! We love this place and this was our third stay. Marcos is always warmly welcoming, his breakfasts are legendary and the apartment is cool and spacious with a large terrace over the pretty courtyard garden. The house is five minutes from the harbor and beaches, excellent tavernas are on the doorstep but the location remains quiet and relaxing.

Amazing old house with all the modern amenities, a huge balcony with a seawiew and a couch with many pillows - it is so nice you don't want to leave the house . Good varied breakfast in a nice shaded courtyard. But the main advantage is Marcos with his team - Margarita, Angelica, Shannon. Your warmth and friendliness was the highlight of our holidays. And all those nice homemade drinks, fruit, cakes... Wow. Wow. Wow

Nice place to stay, close to the beach and restaurants. Marcos is very nice host and will do everything for you to feel good. Very nice breakfast serve in the garden as well.

We were welcomed in a very friendly and helpful manner by the owner and enjoyed the delicious breakfast the first morning of arrival. The spacious apartment had all the necessities and a beautiful terrace full of perfumed plants where we could relax before heading to our visits in the area. The guesthouse is situated in a very pretty little fishing village close to restaurants and shops but yet quiet and peaceful. The kindness and discretion of the lady working with Markos has been mostly appreciated too. Thanks to both of you for having made our holidays at the top.

Guesthouse is in old, traditional building. Location is central in Palermo village, close by the sea, restaurants, shops and bars. I expected higher quality and more privacy, as website gives totally different feeling of the place, as there Idili seems prettier, more peaceful and cozier. Owner is very helpful and welcoming, very nice really. But they don’t take very good care of the premises: decoration is not very pretty, there is no daily cleaning and there are dead leaves and even plastic flowers in the garden. They give you clean towels if you ask and also clean a bit, but its not automatic. Also, next to guest house there is a hotel with swimming pool with lots of noise, it was a total surprise. My apartment was downstairs and interior has the same quality than the others. Bathroom is better in the other two, they look brighter and more fresh. Downstairs apartment has less privacy than the others, as it’s on the ground level next to people passing by. At night you can close the wooden doors and it’s dark and quiet. There is another bedroom on the back of the downstairs apartment, it is very basic and depressing -I just closed the door and I was happy I did not need the space. I think the best apartment is upstairs: the view is better and you can see the sea, bathroom looks more fresh and it is more private. Unfortunately my expectations did not meet the price and quality. I think they should give more time and money to the premises (also interior and cleaning) and then this guest house could have the quality to meet the price and website image.

Panormos itself exuded a peaceful ambiance, with charming streets and delightful tavernas. Our stay at Idili traditional house with Markos left us with cherished memories and a desire to return. If you seek an authentic Greek getaway with a touch of history and a warm host, this is the place to be!

The location of this quirky and beautiful guest house is perfect. Edge of village in a quiet lane, so very peaceful but very close to the small village centre with it's tavernas, shops and the beach. The traditional old house is absolutely lovely and the apartments are kept in beautiful condition. My apartment on the ground floor is really spacious and cool. The large veranda, with it's comfortable outdoor furniture, overlooks the well tended and tranquil garden, where one can spend time on the chairs and sunbeds dotted around for guests' use. The varied and delicious breakfasts are served with a smile in a shaded pergola across the garden. The range of fresh local produce will keep you going for the whole day! Best of all is the hospitality provided by Marcos and his family, who cannot do enough to ensure the comfort of their guests. Every time I go there I am made to feel welcome and special.
