Helios Bay Hotel and Suites

Amazing place with exceptional services. Personally I'd recommend everyone to try their breakfast :)

This place was much better then expected. The pictures really need updating as it’s much more better quality then the pictures show. We were on a ground floor apartment and had a separate bedroom from the kids, who were on sofa beds. Good size kitchen and plenty of room to move around. The only downside of the apartment was the size of the wardrobe. It only had enough hangers for a few items and certainly not enough room for 4 peoples clothes. The grounds are very clean and maintained and the cleaners are fantastic with cleaning the rooms and getting everything spotless. The pool area is very clean and had so many spare sun beds at any time of the day (and we went in kids holidays) that you could choose where you wanted to be and no rushing down in the morning to get one, and the views from the pool to the sea are just outstanding. There is a little path at the bottom that goes across the coastline down into St George’s area. And although is quite far out from pathos it was very quiet and relaxing. There are a few restaurants and bars around within a short 15 minute walk but you can always get a bus from the bus stop straight across the road for 1.50 euros and that takes you straight into pathos town. The lady on reception was the most helpful person we have come across on any holiday. She went out of her way with any request or help needed. (One day we had a trip and the transfer hadn’t come so she organised a pick up for us for free and got it all sorted for us) and deserves the recognition for how brilliant she is. The only downside of the whole place would be the breakfast. We had it one morning and was very limited and not very appealing so went to other places after we had tried it Overall though, if you want a clean and well maintained place to stay, with friendly people around and in a relaxed and stress free environment then this is the place to go.

Just returned from 7 nights at Helios Bay. It is a lovely hotel in a great location. It was really hot (approx 32 degrees each day at the end of September). Pros: - Pool is really nice, clean and a good size - Plenty of sunbeds - we had no issue finding 2 together in the sun at any time of the day - Pool bar is good for drinks and snacks e.g. ice creams, toasties, chips, small meals - Beautiful views and a coastal path (perfect place to watch the sunsets) - Bus 615 stops right outside and goes to Coral Bay or down to Paphos. Single tickets are 1.50 or you can buy a day ticket for 5 euros. We asked about a weekly ticket but were told these were not available. We didn't use the beach nearby as we went up to Coral Bay on the bus (much less rocky/stoney and the sea is calmer) - would recommend going there - the Corallia Beach (the last stop on the bus) is lovely and is 7.50 a day for x2 sunbeds and a parasol. We also used the buses to get to Aphrodite's Rock which was nice. The supermarket (I think called Sklavenitis) inside Kings Mall is far better than the Lidl and only a few stops further on the bus - go there if you want a larger selection of food. I have a nut & sesame seed allergy and was unable to find many suitable things in the Lidl but found loads there including British chocolate and bread safe for me to eat. We cooked our own breakfasts each day so can't comment on the breakfast at the hotel. There is a small kiosk style shop 2 doors down from the hotel where you can buy essentials e.g. drinks, snacks, gifts. The New Horizon pub next door to that was a favourite of ours. We ate there 3 times and other nights went to watch the rugby or football. Nice atmosphere and also very allergy friendly - menus are allergy coded and the staff really helpful. Cons: - We arrived very late (approx 2am) due to our Gatwick flight being delayed. We were handed a key and on arrival at our room realised were on the ground floor (104) with a view of some villas. We had paid extra for a side sea view room so I went and spoke to the receptionist and requested a room change. He reported he was just the night man and told me to go back in the morning. I went back at 8am and they did move us later that day to the other side of the block and up a higher level (room 216) where the views were 1000 times better and we actually had the view we'd paid for. Be careful of this as I have read this in other reviews. This is one of my only negatives as it did disappoint us on arrival and I felt like we had just been given the last room due to arriving late. - Only other small negative was the lack of entertainment on a night. The sun set at approx 6.45pm whilst we were there which meant it was dark early. The hotel became really quiet and you had to go to the pub nearby or into Paphos for any entertainment, drinks etc. It would have been nice to have music / something going on each night at the hotel itself. Wonderful stay here. Everything you want in a beautiful, reasonably priced hotel. Stayed in a sea facing room, well equipped & clean. Recommended. Pool bar serves lovely cocktails at a good price. Recommended Clusters bar also just up the road for great food!

This was our 2nd stay at Helios Bay Apartments, first stayed in September last year. This time we booked direct with Nicos, everything was easy. He even arranged a taxi to meet us at the airport on our arrival. Our apartment was 313, up a couple of flights of stairs, no problem for us but they can offer help if you need it with your cases. No lifts. Our one bedroom apartment was spacious and had everything that we needed to self cater. 2 halogen rings and an oven, no microwave. Good fridge, toaster, kettle, remember to bring tea towels, washing up liquid supplied. Towels changed regularly. The cleaners do a fantastic job, kept our apartment clean and tidy and always friendly. Our bedroom was a double bed that was lovely and comfortable, extra blankets in the large bedroom. Plenty of storage space, safe in the wardrobe. The balcony has a table and two chairs plus a clothes airer, which was very useful to dry our washing on. The laundry facilities are very reasonable, €4 for a wash. Quite quiet when we were there, end of March into April. We had breakfast there on our first morning, €7.50 which included hot and cold selection. The pool restaurant was not open whilst we were there, which was a disappointment as the food that we had there in September was fantastic. Understandable as it wasn’t busy, we were informed that they open it in late April when they get more clients. A Restaurant has just opened next door and was attracting a bit of interest. The Horizon Pub is also a great place to eat and only a couple of hundred metres away. A nearby shop has basic items, Lidl is a short bus ride away. The bus stop is across the road from the Helios. Taxi also arranged with Nicos for our return to the airport. A family business, which is lovely. We will definitely return.

Very nice! The beach is so close with a beautiful view from the hotel. Me and my family got a room right opposite the sea! The view from the patio outside to room facing the sea was absolutely gorgeous. The staff are very kind. Around the pool is lovely it’s not even noisy, the perfect place to relax without shouting and other noises. However around the pool there isn’t a lifeguard so if your kids cannot swim very well don’t let them go in on their own even if you tell them not to go to the deep end as it is about 2.5m and could sometimes be dangerous for kids who can’t swim well especially when there isn’t a lifeguard.

Great Aparthotel! We stayed in 2 bed villa, perfect for us, going with a teenager we all needed space and own bedrooms. Lovely clean, well equipped. The hotel were so helpful and really added to our stay. Lots of local places to eat, Siennas was lovely. waterpark down the road with half price entry after 2:30. Buses run frequently, we hired a car for a few days. Easy holiday , I would go back without a doubt.

Fabulous hotel. Nice and quiet just on the outskirts of paphos. No evening entertainment which suits us 👍 Very clean and friendly staff,especially our cleaner (room 105) we stayed on the one bedroom apartment which had all the amenities you need. We were very lucky with the weather so spent most days by the pool. The pool area is clean and beds super comfy with the mattress . If we can get a deal then we hope to be back in June 👍
