Reviews of Paphos Gardens Holiday Resort

The staff was super friendly and let us in to the rooms before the official check-in time. We rented a one bedroom with a kitchen, because we intended to cook. These the areas where the place was lacking. 1. No rack in the oven (even after requesting, no follow-up). 2. No paper towels. 3. No salt and pepper. The apartment’s worst aspect was the bed - it was atrocious. Also, there were no real shelves or drawers to put our clothes, only closet space for hanging. Also the heater worked but didn’t do a great job heating the main area of the apartment.

The holiday resort looks nice but quite old style. Staff are all really friendly. Our first night was a little bit hassle as when we were about to sleep my bf felt something crawling to him and theres bed bugs, massive one as well. Then when we lift up the bedsheet covers we all found them on that side crawling around which is really disgusting. We then reported to the receptionist and gave us new room and this time no more bugs. But didnt say sorry or whatsoever and didnt even give us any compensation and refund.

All of the staff are warm, accommodating & friendly. We were grateful that Maria made sure that we were allocated a room in the building of our choice. The room was very well equipped with a good size & modern fridge & freezer. Plus oven, microwave & all the plates & cutlery you could possibly need. The bed & pillows were very comfortable. The resort is clean & both pool areas are kept clean & tidy. Breakfast is excellent value for money. Be aware that you need to bring a towel from home to use at the pool. Very easy to walk into town from this location. Lots of parking

Excellent hotel for a holiday at any time of the year! Breakfast is a special respect! Very rich buffet. There are desserts, hot dishes, and fruits. There is a playground on the territory. The pool inside is heated with warm water. The only disappointment is that the sauna is for an additional fee, and hourly payment (10 euros per person per hour) and children are not allowed at all.

A very pleasant hotel, very well located. everything is close. It is a 5 minute walk from the bus stop and only 10 minutes from the seaside. I must mention that the hotel service is at the highest level and is very kind and helpful. The food is also very high quality. I can recommend it with complete confidence!

Breakfast super buffet everything delicious, and corresponds to the price-performance ratio, for dinner a restaurant VIVA CYPRUS is very RECOMMENDED nearby. Great location. In Paphos the buses are bad, please rent a car immediately, it's cheap 10-20 €/day... the taxis are expensive and they screw every pig... So please rent a car. Staff: I thank you from the bottom of my heart, you are the best... Always helpful and very human... My wife did not feel well during the holiday and went to the hospital. They allowed me to take breakfast to go for my wife and a delivery box prepared for this... That was really great. Cons : the hotel is a bit old and the facilities need to be updated but that's easily ignored when you have such a great friendly staff. Sauna against 7€ extra which is also disadvantageous in my opinion. So in a big goose the hotel is very good and I book there again and again 😁. Greetings from Chaban family

Hotel a little dated but spotlessly clean, rooms cleaned every day, fresh bedding and towels every other day. Hotel staff very friendly from reception, restaurant, bar, cleaners and maintenance. We asked for a walk in shower and got one, only problem no sun on patio until late afternoon but the shower was priority. We're still here for two more days wish it was longer, entertainment was by a great guy called James but he has just left. Weather has been brilliant 80 degrees two days, rained twice in 4 weeks for a total of 5 hours. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough it's 3star but feels like 4. Will definitely be back.

Recent stay here, overall all it was a nice holiday. staff really friendly and welcoming apart from the older woman behind the front desk, she was rude and never smiled. Cleaners were pleasant and nice, could of cleaned the rooms better as on occasions sink was left dirty and sand remained on the floor from when we went to the beach and towels not changed/not given enough. During our stay the pool water for the main pool turned green and cloudy. Heard there was an issue with this, but it was apparently ‘safe’ lasted for around 2 days and then the pool water was back to being clear and blue. Pool was spacious however downfall was the pool was very warm which didn’t help cool you off. Food choices for kids lacked in the evening, they seemed to cater for children at lunch time but not for the evening meal. Room was spacious and air con was fab. The children’s pool had leaves in it constantly so didn’t appear clean, maybe they could cut the branches down that hangs over this area? And lots of ants around the small pool. Enjoyed our stay here and enjoyed all the friendly cats around the hotel. I have heard this hotel isn’t particularly fond of the cats or care for the cats which is a shame.

Don’t listen to the negative reviews,this is a great value resort,the staff are excellent and take care to ensure you have a nice time. Pools are warm and clean and our apartment was the best I’ve stayed in,huge and has everything you could need for a self catering holiday. I understand the older apartments are being re-furnished but ours is perfect. We decided to upgrade for all inclusive and the food is a very good standard indeed with themed nights. We wild reccomend this resort for a relaxing break,it is not a gleaming place but is a typical Cypriot hotel that is full of character. Well done Paphos gardens,we have had a fantastic stay so far.

We Arrived late at Paphos Gardens and were greeted to a drink and sandwich (nothing for a veggie) Porter helped us with cases. One bed apartment was a good size with a big patio. Air conditioning was good. It all went down hill after that. Cooker hob didn't work. TV lost channels. These were both reported and maintenance men came but neither were fixed. No smoke alarm which I think is illegal......couldn't cook anyway as there were no oven dishes and no microwavable dishes. Not very good for a self catering apartment. No hot water, plug or sink bowl in the kitchen. Kettle wouldn't switch off and got dangerously hot. Building work sound was deafening....reported and told they've asked them to start later in the day. Cleaning was non existent for the 10 days, towels changed regularly but the sheets were on for longer than the 2 days they mention in the paperwork they give you. Best thing the cleaner did was to leave us some cockroach spray which helped with the 4 big and I mean big roaches we found. Came back to the door unlocked one day. The apartment was very run down and it all needs updating. We complained to management and Yanis was very understanding. He gave us a meal voucher for lunch and didn't charge us for a late check out. Nice touch was some Cypriot delight on leaving. We have been travelling to Cyprus for 45 years and never complained about our accommodation before. We shall be looking elsewhere for our trip in September.

This place should be shut down. The rooms are disgusting. Our room had cockroaches, it smelt, it was damp filthy, and the furniture and fittings shabby. The rooms are filthy. The cleaners arw a joke. Jet 2 rep did not care, hotel staff did not care, theyweree rude roll their eyes daily churn people at reception at 12 waiting to move to a better room. No wonder they can't be bothered they are sick of dealing with complaints. We were moved to a different room, which was marginally better but not suitable either, but we could not be bothered to move again. Avoid this hotel. It falls well below expectations
