Maison Proust, Hotel & Spa la Mer

This past week we spent five nights at Maison Proust, and, quite honestly, our stay was nothing less than perfect. This was our second stay at Maison Proust, and at each stay both the service and attention to detail were superb. The owner and staff ensure that nothing is left to chance! The deluxe rooms are certainly not big, and while one can find larger rooms in Paris at similar rates, I can assure you that one would be hard pressed to find rooms with such stunning décor. Truly, both the rooms and common spaces transport one back to Paris’ Belle Époque, and celebrate the period’s most famous writer, Marcel Proust. The Maison Proust offers a wonderful respite from the bustle and cacophony that makes Paris, well…Paris! Enjoy your stay. You won’t be disappointed!

This small Boutique hotel tucked away in a quiet backstreet in the Marais district is everything you’d expect a Paris experience should be, beautifully designed, an elegant luxurious feel, excellent attentive staff, great bar and food and incredibly comfortable. I would call this a small luxury hotel at its best. The attention to detail at this place is second to none, when you check in a staff member shows you around explaining the decor features, artwork and a little bit of the hotels history, where everything is located and what’s on offer, followed by sitting you down in the velvety decadent salon for a welcome drink, while your bags are taken up to your room. Entering the room you feel like you’ve stepped back into the dreamy Belle Epoch, the restoration and decorating of the rooms are quite something, it’s all in the detail and no two rooms are the same. The bar menu serves simple but delicious and beautifully prepared food, the cocktails are exquisite, the music is a wonderfully eclectic mixed of iconic swoon Breakfast in the morning is lovely, served in the Winter garden room as the morning sun filters through, simply heaven. To say this place is the epitome of French elegance is an understatement. Dare to book into your dream stay, you only live once.
