We recently, September 4 – 11th, 2022, stayed at 37 Rue Meslay in Paris via a booking with Checkmyguest. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! The apartment was good (just dirty, see below), location – convenient, but Checkmyguest is the WORST!! To say we were disappointed would be a massive understatement. Upon arrival, we found that the 2 fold out beds did not have proper bedding available. There was only 1 sheet where there should have been 4. One comforter was dirty and un-usable, the other had what looked like a blood stain and was not usable either. There were no kitchen towels, brushes/sponges to clean dishes, and the apartment was dirty. If you walked on the floor with bare feet, you would leave a black trail of dirt when showering. We requested the items and that the apartment be cleaned, and only received 4 new sheets and the kitchen items. No cleaning occurred. What was supposed to be an exciting and adventurous stay in Paris for my family of 4 was diminished by our stay at 37 Rue Meslay and Checkmyguest. I have been battling with them for a week now trying to get a refund and receive my Deposit of 500EUR returned. No surprise given the multitude of negative comments, I have not received either a refund or my deposit. DO NOT RENT WITH CHECKMYGUEST IF YOU CAN FIND ALTERNATE SOLUTIONS!!! The poor conditions of the apartment and their lack of customer service is not worth the headache!!
