A proper home in Paris Our group was 7 people made up of 2 families, so we wanted a large space. And as we were looking for over a week we wanted a proper kitchen and laundry. We got both these things with this VRBO!This isn't just a hotel rental - this is a proper home. Immersing ourselves in the culture of Paris was easy, and the amount of space was from I understand very difficult to find in the city. The photos show an empty, almost boring suite with little personality, but in reality it is full of books and games and art and all the things of a real family - so comfortable!The description is a little unclear, but there is an interesting washroom setup for those used to North American bathrooms: 2 separate rooms with a toilet and sink in the hallway amusingly labeled Boys and Girls; 1 bedroom has an ensuite bathing room with a shower and a large sink/2 taps, 1 bedroom has an ensuite bathing room with a bathtub/shower and double sink. The hosts are very gracious and communicate well (for reference the use of WhatsApp is highly prevalent in Paris)The location in the heart of Monmartre was lovely, with many wonderful shops, bakeries and cafes just steps away. The closest proper grocery store was Carrefour which was great. It was easy to get to several metro stations so exploring the city was a breeze. But even with that, the building is very quiet. There were teeny tiny ants in the kitchen, but I understand this is a common problem so not really a concern. Just keep food sealed up!
