Le Montclair Montmartre

No elevator, and no housekeeping service. While it's very close to the subway, the key card was a real hassle; I always had to swipe it multiple times to open the door.

The location is perfect, with the Jules Joffrin metro station (130m) and bus line 40 stop right nearby, plus a taxi stand next to the metro. You don't have to get breakfast at the hotel, as you can find it everywhere in the city. Walking to the Sacre Coeur was also very close (800m). There were three of us – my wife, son, and myself – and we opted for a four-person room wanting a bit more space, but it still turned out to be quite small for us. Another downside was the lack of an elevator; we were on the third floor with a 'horror staircase' (I'm 58!). The toilet area was also tiny, and we missed having a chair, a kettle, or a small fridge. Oh well, perhaps I should have booked a more expensive room. However, if you're a traveler like us, I would still recommend this hotel for its great location, especially for a city trip, and for a room to just rest in, nothing more.

Very clean, very comfortable, and the staff were really nice. They even helped us arrange a car transfer to the airport.

Google states this hotel has air conditioning, but it doesn't. The facilities are extremely old, even the door wouldn't close properly and creaked. The room was severely moldy. The bedding looked clean, but everyone in my group developed a mite allergy on the second or third day.

The location is perfect, and the staff service was good. However, there's no air conditioning or fan, so it gets very hot.

The hotel is really well-located in the Montmartre district, very close to the Sacré Coeur. It offers a true neighborhood vibe with small restaurants at affordable prices, and its proximity to Metro Line 12 makes getting around easy. The hotel entrance isn't much to look at, the stairwell definitely needs a fresh coat of paint, and the soundproofing is minimal. However, our twin room, with a private bathroom, was very comfortable and clean. And after midnight, it was completely quiet.
