This was my second stay at Lux Hotel Picpus. The hotel staff are friendly and offer service in English if you don’t speak French. My room this time was larger than my previous one, and had a very comfortable bed. The neighborhood is quiet and mostly residential. There are two metros nearby visitors can access: Picpus (right across the street) and Nation (about a five to ten minute walk). This is a great value option for travelers who may not wish to pay for more touristy locations but who would still like to be near the center of Paris. The Nation Métro is particularly useful and you can be in the heart of the city in 30 minutes or less. I would certainly consider staying here again in the future.

The location is good. But the rooms are too small and too old. Paris is a failed state, i will never come back.

Very nice reception😀 The hotel is near a metro so it was easy to travel around. The room is clean and comfy for 2-3 people with not too big luggage.

An unassuming but treasuresome hotel in the 12th Arr! Staff are so friendly and helpful way beyond expectation. Excellent value too. It's slightly off the beaten track but only 30 mins from Gare du Nord on the Metro. We made the mistake of getting a taxi on the way in - 40 Euro - *********** offers this for 60 Euro to pre-book. Excellent value - only had breakfast once - 22 Euro for 3. Recommended without hesitation.

Amazing staff very friendly and helpful. Clean rooms however noise is a problem you can even hear people walking or talking in other rooms.

We stayed in Paris for a week to attend a friend's wedding. We really loved Lux Hotel - it was small and charming, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room was perfect for what we needed - a place to crash at night. Nearly all the concierge staff spoke English and were helpful with recommendations and directions. The street the hotel is located on is rather quiet and safe, and the hotel itself is a 5-7 minute walk from a major metro stop, Nation, which has access to several different metro lines. Super easy to get around from the hotel and some decent little restaurants near by, too! Would absolutely stay here again should we find ourselves in Paris.

Stayed at this hotel many times, but it seems if there are new owners, it used to be very affordable hotel, but the room rate was€70 when I booked for 2020 and now when I booked for this year it went up to €130 for the same room. Also the breakfast not as good as it used to be. The lady at reception used to manage to do the buffet breakfast as well,now there is a lady hovering in the breakfast room without much to do, also other staff was constantly in and out during breakfast, it seems to me that there now is too many staff members, perhaps part of reason for higher rate? Still wonderful location with access to metro and RER

Friendly and helpful staff. Air conditioner working well.
They let us store our suitcases at the hotel before checking-in and there were 5 of us!
The metro stop is right around the corner. Safe walkable neighborhood. 35 minutes from Orly airport. We only stayed for one night but I would recommend.

Every staff member went above and beyond for us! Would definitely recommend. We had a problem with the AC and they took care of it immediately! Thank you to all the staff you were all amazing….
