From the reviews I've read, we weren't the only ones having trouble. The address stated on the reservation was behind Les Halles, but in reality, there's only a reception area, which in our case was a mailbox. Inside the mailbox is an envelope with the actual address of your apartment, which in our case was 3.5 km away from where we booked. By calling their "customer service," I realized it was a well-tested system; the lady I spoke to already had the answers ready, no hesitation. Why use a reception area with a mailbox? If everything were handled properly, they'd clearly give you the code to access the apartment directly without having to wander around half of Paris. Obviously, at 7:00 on a Saturday night, with suitcases and family in the middle of a Parisian street, we had no choice but to accept the apartment, and they know this well, so they're leveraging the fact that they provided the service, so no refunds, no option to exchange, it's your problem! Apartment: should we at least vacuum it? Crumbs, seeds, hair. Bed: no cot, there were three of us, one of the cot's was unusable; it closed under my back three times the first night. There was no light in the bathroom or kitchenette.
