Mercure Paris Gare de Lyon Opéra Bastille

Very unkept hotel rooms. Shower area has mould everywhere and the show taps are broken. The carpet is old and stained, nothing like a 4 star. Poor standards and cannot be called a 4 star hotel when you compare anything else form the same brand in other cities across Europe or Asia

Great location near train station and metro. Room was spotless, felt homey. Would definitely stay again on next Paris trip!

This hotel is an elegant 4 star hotel. The counter staff speaks fluent English and is very helpful. The bathroom has no ventilation and some mould.

This was the worst Mercure hotel I have ever stayed at. Very disappointing experience from start to finish. The reception staff were not friendly at all. They never greeted guests — not even a simple “good morning” — and always looked unhappy or uninterested. During check-in, the receptionist stayed seated while I was standing in front of the desk, and there was no greeting or welcome. It felt very unprofessional and disrespectful. The breakfast was also poor. The eggs were undercooked and still raw, and the coffee tasted bad. Definitely not the standard I expect from Mercure. The rooms old. When I asked for advice about transportation to the airport, the receptionist was not helpful and didn’t seem willing to assist. Overall, the service and hospitality were far below expectations. I would not recommend this hotel and will not stay here again.
