Unfortunately, I am very disappointed with my stay at Hotel Saphir in Paris that I booked through trip.com.
Upon arrival, they charged me double the amount of pay at property and that was around €23.
When I arrived at the hotel they told me that there will be no refrigerator in the room ,I have to buy water and they will store in their own fridge.I had to come down in the hotttest weather from 4th floor to get water from their fridge during my whole stay.
The hotel staff were generally rude and unprofessional. Upon arrival, I also noticed that there was no refrigerator in the room, which was quite inconvenient.
The most serious issue occurred on Monday, 22 June. While I was away, a cleaner entered my room without my knowledge. Fortunately, I returned shortly afterward to collect something I had forgotten and discovered that my room door (409) had been left unlocked. All of our belongings had been opened or moved while we were out. The room had not even been properly cleaned.
When I found the cleaner in the room, she appeared surprised to see me. She could not speak English and simply said, “I finished.”
Later that evening, I reported the incident to the manager. Instead of handling the matter professionally, he came to knock on my door at midnight while I was asleep. He showed me a CCTV photo of myself and denied any responsibility on behalf of the hotel.
This experience left me with a very negative impression. I did not feel safe, and unfortunately, I would not recommend this hotel.
I booked this hotel through Trip.com, and I would appreciate further information regarding how I can formally report this issue and request appropriate follow-up regarding my experience.
