This is a 2 stars well-located hotel in Paris. You could have helpful information depending on who was at the reception desk. Maintenance was poor; the opening system of the sink in my room was broken and the bedside lamp was not working. I asked if they could fix them on my first day at the hotel, and nothing was done, which annoyed me. It was overpriced - it cost more than several 3 stars hotels nearby.

Great location, and really charming. It’s not a fancy hotel, but it’s very clean, nicely laid out (even in our tiny room on the top floor) and the staff are very pleasant. It’s close to the Canal but on a quiet street, which was a nice combo. Free coffee and water all day, which is a pleasant perk in such a small place.

Very Disappointing Stay Not even close to the photos!!! The room was filthy — dust, hair, and mold everywhere. We had to buy our own cleaning supplies just to make it livable. Most of the staff were unhelpful, except for the head of housekeeping. The cleaner was rude and sarcastic. On top of everything, we weren’t allowed to change rooms, paid a high price for a terrible experience, and were charged a city tax that was never mentioned beforehand. Absolutely not recommended.

Horrible experience. The room was in a terrible state when we arrived: hair everywhere — on the beds, sheets, duvets, even in the bathtub. There was dust on all surfaces, mold in the wardrobe and on the hairdryer, and the pillows were yellow and dirty inside. We contacted reception multiple times and were promised cleaning, but nothing happened. The cleaner was rude and sarcastic. When we came back later in the evening, nobody had come. They had only left some clean sheets on the bed. We had to go to the supermarket, buy cleaning products, and clean the bathroom and room ourselves. Also, one day no one came to clean the room at all. When I went down to reception to ask for someone to come and at least take out the trash, they simply handed me garbage bags — and I had to take out the trash myself! This level of service is unacceptable, especially in a hotel. Totally unacceptable service and conditions. Fuyez !

Excellent location, friendly reception, clean and comfortable room, albeit very small. I love the area, it feels local, and has endless good food and shop options. No aircon, maybe not ideal for peak summer. But overall I'd recommend for a short stay

THIS HOTEL IS A DEATH TRAP RUN BY MAN BABIES. Coming on a year from visiting Paris, I’m reminded I must warn people about staying here. All the men who work here are thin-skinned and disgruntled. But first the death trap part: coming home late from dinner & drinks, several nights a week we found the entrance chained and locked! After ringing the doorbell many times, the manager would wake up from their slumber and begrudgingly unlock the front door. When we said this is a safety issue, we were told THIS is a safety precaution to keep drunks out. Okay…why not invest in a key card door (like all other hotels we stayed at)? We were reassured someone would open them if called. WELL…on our second to last night there, coming home relatively earlier in the night, the door wouldn’t open! The **** even tried to blame my friend for breaking it when all she did was try to walk forward into the glass. And yes, I know, it’s glass. In case of emergency just…But if there’s a fire, and smoke is everywhere, that may not be so easy. Also, possibly because we had a big party with special needs, all the managers treated us like we were a nuisance. Before going out one night, the manager asked, “When are you leaving?” I said, “In a couple of days.” He replied, “Good” as he walked away. Ooooo!…If I wasn’t worried about making sure our whole group wasn’t kicked out for no good reason…I would have taken him outside to have a more real conversation. (Wow I had to really restrain myself for the good of the group.) I could go on and on about incidents we had: raising there voice when members of our group dared to raise an issue, denying our eldest (and kindest) members coffee on the morning we checked out, the baldest of these middle aged babies hitting on a friend of a friend’s wife, in front of her husband(!), et cetera. Pity though. The balcony view down the street towards the canal is LOVELY. And the restaurants (and world famous bakery) outside have delicious food served by real friendly people. Still, BEWARE.

This is not a luxury hotel by any means. Typical European rooms – very small, few amenities but very clean. The good thing is that when visiting Europe, you shouldn’t be spending a lot of time in your room anyway! The locality of the hotel is very good. Seems like a safe location and within walking distance to the metro station and many cafes and restaurants. The best part of our stay here was the staff. They were incredibly friendly and helpful to us. We had an unfortunate incident with my husband’s wallet being stolen on the metro from the airport. By the time we got to the hotel, we saw a $3500 charge on our VISA. We went down to the front desk and the gentleman was so very helpful! He placed the call for us and waited until we had everything settled. Later in the week we needed help with train tickets another gentleman patiently assisted us and printed out all of our tickets for us. We definitely enjoyed our stay here.

The hotel is strategically located in a quiet area full of bistros, near the Canal Saint Martin and Place de la Republic, making it close to the metro. Organized, clean, and welcoming, the staff is always ready to meet guests' needs. The breakfast is also generous.

Centrally located, near Metro 5, with a view of typical Parisian rooftops. Three windows and double exposure. The beds, pillows, and goose down blankets are all very comfortable. Very large room with a luggage rack, a shelf for empties your pockets, a desk with a chair, and a small closet with a safe. The bathroom is adequately sized. The sink and shower are both adequately sized. The shower has a curtain, not a walk-in shower. There are sufficient electrical outlets: two under the desk and one on a bedside table (rather than at the bedside, where there's no space) next to the bathroom door. Two mini-fridges at reception offer two to four 50-cl bottles of water daily. Coffee products from the large automatic coffee machine used for breakfast (hot chocolate, cappuccino, mocha, hot water for tea, etc.) can be brought to your room in large cardboard cups. A very generous self-service breakfast with plenty of variety and decent quality: croissants, chocolate bread, baguettes, and cold cuts, along with authentic Nutella, delicious fig jam, and strawberries (€12/person, a real bargain in Paris!!!). There was room for a coat rack next to the door and next to the bathroom wall, but there were NO coat racks in the room or even in the bathroom (they're handy to put them up). One side of the bed had very steep walls, and another side was less steep but with even less foot space. Only on this side was a similar bedside table built into the wall with no electrical outlets. Contrary to the photos, there was no coffee maker in the room. Only one pillow per person (they did, however, provide a second pillow upon request).
