It's been a long time since I've stayed in such an old-fashioned hotel. The facilities have a feel of the 80s and 90s, and some parts of the exterior are a bit worn. But I happened to be working in Paris for a few days, and the advantages of this hotel became apparent: First, the location is superb, very convenient by metro, basically in a central area of Paris, making it easy to get around (even more convenient for shopping in the Marais); the room size is sufficient for one person, and the internal facilities are adequate (comfortable bedding, warm heating, clean and bright bathroom, plenty of hot water, and a well-functioning toilet); there is a balcony, although very small, it's good for ventilation, and the sunshine in every day is lovely; the cleanliness is quite good (although there's a fragrance after each cleaning, which I don't like, so I open the window to let it air out every day); I forgot the breakfast time and arrived late, but a kind and lovely lady still provided service, which I was very grateful for 🥹. So, considering the price, this hotel is the king of value for money in Paris.
