I had the misfortune of booking a triple room for 4 nights to go with my 2 children at the beginning of February 2024. We arrived at night, and they charged me the full accommodation amount. However, when we went up to the room, we found a space with 3 very small beds stuck together with no space between them and no room in the entire space to move around without bumping into things or place suitcases. It was impossible to consider that a triple room. But the worst part was an unbearable tobacco smell that filled the small room and the bathroom. I immediately complained at the front desk, and they told me that the hotel was fully booked that night and that they would try to solve the problem the next morning. We slept as best as we could, and the next morning, we just wanted to leave. I asked for a refund for the remaining 3 nights to find another place, but they refused. They told me to send an email to the absent hotel manager (the first time I've ever seen something like that). We went for a walk for a couple of hours, waiting for the manager's response, but he never replied. Upon return, at the front desk, they informed me that the manager had said they couldn't change my room that night either, and I should stay one more night, and they would see the next day if I could move. However, it was impossible for them to refund the money for the remaining nights. Outrageous. Never seen before. have traveled extensively and stayed in hundreds of hotels of varying quality, but for the first time in my life, I had to leave one due to its terrible condition and service. And on top of that, I was scammed, and they never refunded the money for the 3 nights I didn't stay. Avoid it. Don't even consider this dump.

The bed was very soft and the toilet was very lovely as well. The staff were wonderful and very welcoming! The location as well was close to a lot of the nearby attractions! I was very surprised by everything here! Many great restaurants close by and also bars! Moulin Rouge was about 10-15 minutes by walking and Montmatre was 10 minutes close as well! If I have the chance to get back here I would book at this place again!!! Merci Beaucoup

This is the worst hotel i’ve stayed in in my entire life. The location is very bad and surrounded by sketchy individuals walking around the streets. Upon exiting the nearest metro station (Barbes), we even saw police searching some of the people who hungout in that area. On the hotel itself, upon first glance it looks decent. The room is small but that is to be expected in Paris. The bedsheets did not feel extremely clean and the bathroom water pressure was low. The toilet did not flush properly as well. The wifi is also spotty. The hotel makes you leave your keys at the front desk when you leave for the day. This is an issue for security. My highlight is that there is an old man who seems to be the owner? He is extremely rude and inhospitable. Our group had takeaway from a nearby restaurant and decided to eat in the hotel because of the lack of seats in the restaurant. We were already not allowed to use the large dining room across the reception because “they were working.” so we decided to use some small tables beside the elevator. The old man after around 15 minutes noticed us there and told us to leave in French. Not being French, we didn’t understand him immediately so he said in English a harsh “OUT”. Then he glared at us until we brought our half eaten meal to eat right outside the hotel. 🙂. Don’t stay here unless you want an eventful experience 🎉

If you're traveling to Paris on a budget this is an excellent choice. Only a few steps from the metro you're met by a warm, cordial and helpful staff. Despite being near a very busy road the windows are sound isolated enough to guarantee quiet enough nights. Even the curtains make sure to keep out all disturbing light. The small safe in the room was a welcome added service. It's more than you'd expect of a 1 star hotel when it comes to room size and comfort. I was traveling alone and only with hand luggage which meant I didn't need much room for clothes or other personal effects. Perhaps one more wipe to get off the dust from the higher shelf was needed, but nothing to put one off. The bathroom has a standard sized comfortable shower. What surprised me was that one could get really cold tap water since I love to drink ice cold water (at least in November). That made me extra happy. If you want breakfast you'd do well to book it in advance (7 €). It's basic French, nothing fancy, but it'll get you started and not ruined. The staff is present 24h/7 which added to a feeling of security.

I had a booking for 3 nights, emailed them 3 days before to cancel. After multiple emails, 5 phone calls over 2 days, asking for “le patron”(manager) who was never there, heard from no one. I’m out of pocket 3 nights.

Booked the Angleterre Hotel for a business trip - we booked two rooms and we were pleasantly surprised! It’s a one star hotel so don’t expect boutique. But still very clean, presentable rooms which is all that matters. Basic rooms but come with toiletries, safe, en-suite and hairdryers are available from reception. Breakfast is basic. Pastries and bread with fruit juice and coffee but can’t complain for €7. Only 2 downsides - rooms were very warm and keys are kept at reception and not permitted off site which I would feel more at ease having with me. Staff were friendly and accommodating - would stay again as very central to train station / metro etc

This hotel was booked for a small group of ladies for a hen do. I read the reviews just before leaving and was intrigued to meet this ‘aggressive’ member of staff at reception. Despite best efforts, he couldn’t be found. What we did encounter were friendly staff, maybe because we treated them in a friendly manner and tried to engage and have fun with the language. This IS a budget hotel, that’s why it’s a fraction of the price of many, however it was clean enough, towels changed daily and despite being close to some less salubrious areas, it is so easy to get to almost anywhere from - either walking, bus or metro. I’d suggest not even making eye contact with some of the dodgy blokes in the surrounding area, but never felt threatened or frightened. I would return to this hotel having got my bearings and found how easy it is to get around.

Very decent hotel. The heating is on 24/7 which makes it a popular choice in winter. The traffic in the area is bad and one must be careful. The reception were nice and welcoming in French. I would recommend the hotel.
