Hotel Maison Traversière

The room was very clean. I was assigned a room in the attic, which was a fun and novel experience for me. However, for a tall person like myself, it was easy to bump my head. The breakfast was a bit monotonous, but coffee and tea were always available. The owner was friendly and enthusiastic, and even provided a Marshall Bluetooth speaker in the room (surprisingly, it wasn't glued down or tied up!). It's a safe bet for a hotel; not perfect, but nothing to really complain about.

Overall, the stay was very pleasant. The room was clean and tidy, and the space was more comfortable than expected, with all the basic amenities readily available. The location is convenient for transportation, and there are plenty of options for food and shopping nearby. Both check-in and check-out processes were smooth, and the staff were very friendly. For the price, it offers great value for money, and I would consider staying here again if I have the chance.

The transportation was convenient, and the air conditioning worked well. You could also open the windows if you didn't want to use the AC. There are supermarkets and restaurants nearby, which is very convenient, and the area feels safe. The hotel service was excellent; they let us rest downstairs because we had an early flight and even allowed us to check in early, which we really appreciated. Plus, they offer luggage storage, which made for a great experience overall.

I stayed for 2 nights. The hotel is conveniently located about a 5-minute walk from Lyon Station, with a laundromat and restaurants nearby. However, it's worth noting that there are occasional homeless people in this area. There was an issue with the tourist tax (overpayment), but when I contacted them via Trip.com, the refund was processed quickly within 2-3 days, so the response was prompt.
