Hôtel Opéra Liège

Paris|0.76km from NEIJ
We stayed in this hotel for one night on September 12, 2022, after driving back to Paris from Brittany, as we had an afternoon flight scheduled back to the U.S on September 13, 2022. On arriving , we were given room 101, which appeared significantly smaller than the room size we had booked. When I pointed this out to the front desk staff, we were offered a larger room, 110, which did appear to be the room type we had intended to have when we had made our reservation. The hotel is stylish, pleasant, and clean. The breakfast is good. The staff members we encountered while there were cordial. Despite the above, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. When I checked email the morning after returning to the US, I received an email saying that the hotel had charged my credit card an additional fee of 250 Euros because the cleaner had encountered a strong smell of smoking in the room after we left. The message also stated that I was informed of this on registration. It was signed ” Regards Ines B”. Neither of us EVER smoke. In fact, we found the amount of smoking we encountered in France in general, unpleasant even when sitting outside. The fact that hotel put through this charge without communicating with me to see whether what the cleaner said was true or whether the room in which the cleaner encountered the supposedly strong odor of smoking was in fact the room we stayed in, was and remains infuriating. I spoke to the manager, Ms. Conan, later on September14, 2022. . At first, she kept insisting that the hotel was correct in making this charge, and that there had been smoking in the room. Eventually, as we spoke , I think she did come to believe me that we had not smoked in the room. To her credit, she remained polite during the call despite my being extremely angry and raising my voice. She did reverse the charge and send an email apologizing for what happened. I hope no one else has a similar experience at this hotel, or anywhere. To come home to find you have been charged 250 Euros without your knowledge, for an infraction you did not commit, for indulging in habit that is personally offensive to you, is galling, to say the least. Therefore: BEWARE! .

Hotel 3 Poussins
4.3/569 Reviews
My adult daughter and I chose Hotel des 3 Poussins in 2022 by doing research on various travel websites. We fell in love with the small hotel, its staff and location, and I wrote a glowing Trip Advisor review. When we decided to return to Paris in May 2023 we knew we had to stay there again, and we were not disappointed. Most of the helpful and friendly staff were the same ones we'd had a year ago. The breakfast was similar and as delicious and well prepared as a year ago. We had a different room this year which we actually liked just a bit more than a year ago due to a slightly different design of the room and bathroom. The hotel really is a delightful gem in a quiet neighborhood near public transportation. It's also close enough to walk to many of the famous sights of the city. Additionally, it's surrounded by small cafes with many cuisines. There's even a pharmacy nearby as well as a small grocery store. I can't say enough good things about the hotel. I don't know if I'll ever return to Paris, but if I do, I will definitely stay there again.

Pigalle
I enjoyed my stay. The staff were super friendly and helpful. They were doing renovations while I was staying there but it wasn’t a problem since they worked while I was out sightseeing. The breakfast that was included with my booking was great. The hotel is close to metro lines 2, 7 and 12. The neighborhood is an up and coming area so there are a lot of restaurants and shops to visit. You’re super close to Montmartre Sacre Couer if you don’t want to walk uphill for 25mins you can take the bus line 40 which is on the corner and drops you off right at the top. I would totally stay here again.
Hôtel Arvor Saint Georges

My wife and I stayed with our grown children at the Hotel Arvor for a six day visit to Paris. The hotel is located is the 9th Arrondissement, between Opera and Montmartre, on a quiet side street in a non-touristy neighborhood full of restaurants and interesting shops. An excellent location. The rooms are stylish, clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and always friendly. Overall, it was a great choice and we can’t recommend hotel more highly.

Everything was perfect, the room had a terrace that was lovely to sit and relax and the bath room Juliet terrace faced the Effie’s tower. Breakfast was delicious and hotel staff was great, friendly and helped with anything they could. I would go back anytime I go to Paris. I have one complaint we are going back to Paris and hotel was booked, smart people. Larry and Sandi cohen
Hotel Lorette - Astotel

I stayed there for nine days and found the room bigger than I thought. I said that the hotel room in Paris is very small, not bad, very convenient, the subway is 100 meters, the bus is also diagonally opposite, although I have not sat, it is quite good at night. Quiet, the wooden floor is a little creaking, and at night it is especially afraid of waking up companions. The breakfast is quite satisfactory. There are many cafe bars and restaurants in the north of the hotel. The life is super convenient. I will stay there again next time.

Location: Extraordinary. The Rue des Martyrs region has everything you need to help a good stay. Delicatessens, Restaurants, Bars, Carrefour, Laundry. Metro station in 300 meters and good bus lines also nearby. As we were in the New Year period, we decided to go to the Sacre Coeur night from Reveillon, we used the mini bus 40 that passes on the corner of the hotel that goes to Montmartre. The hotel: Some rooms are tight, but nothing is impossible. There was even a small box where the bags were packed without problems (if you can choose, ask the 'corner' that are bigger and still guarantee view for Montmartre). Good heating. The bed is a little flexible for me, I like hard bed, but the second night I used to it. The service is OK, goal. Don't wait for anything hot, but there was no discomfort or grossness. The only thing that disturbs is the smell from the bathroom. I think something in the old building waste system. The secret was when we arrived to leave the bathroom light on, pq connects the exhaustor that improves a little. The lift is tight, but there's a tip: travel with smaller bags ...
