The JinJiang star hotel is a Chinese hotel chain. Therefore it is not surprising that everything is noisy and chaotic. There is no normal breakfast, fried eggs and toast with coffee. All food and drink (except beer) is Chinese only. There is no coffee and the restaurant is a disaster. All the chairs look like in the pigsty. Smoking everywhere.
The worst thing is that you have to pay everything in cash. Credit cards are not accepted. I had the feeling that this is a Chinese money laundery hotel. The local servants are very kind and friendly and very honest. They make you feel a little sorry when you see how they are treated by the Chinese. I lost 1k pesos and they gave it back to me. The rooms are very small but good. The bed is nice and cozy. The bathroom is adequate, even a bit small.
The location on a major thoroughfare is good and I didn't notice any noise as my room didn't have a window. All in all, I wouldn't recommend staying here to anyone from the West. Everything is geared towards the Chinese and this is how the hotel is managed, miserable. Summary: room good, rest is miserable.
