Uga Bay - Pasikuda

A very good hotel. Directly on the beach. It has its own protection. Food a bit monotonous, served to the tables by friendly staff. Very loud air conditioning broke the impression, but despite attempts to repair it was still loud. Prices are very high for Sri Lankan conditions.

A beautifully situated resort on the beach at Uga Bay. No Campari for a Negroni but I will have plenty of those somewhere else. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and genuinely smiling. Special stand outs are Sanjay at the Beach Bar and Sanuji in the main bar who just instinctively know what perfect service is (not intrusive but there when you want them). The sea is blue and the view from the pool lovely, what else can I say.

It was a really good choice and we are happy to have selected to stay in the resort! We are delighted with the personal attention and focus on providing pleasure and comfort in every situation. Beautiful resort, excellent food, extremely warm and wonderful employees who helped us in every case. We recommend it to everyone who appreciates peace and quiet. Very nice hotel at beautiful and peaceful location. The beach in front of the hotel is amazing. The rooms are very comfortable and well equipped. Staff was friendly and very helpful. A la carte menue and drinks selection are bit limited. Food was good but not exceptional. Everything (food, beverages and services) is priced in US$ and is significantly more expensive than all other places we visited during our traveling across Sri Lanka. Also prices are not including service fees and taxes so the final price is approx 30% higher than indicated in menus.

## Location The hotel's location is absolutely stunning, situated at a best spot of Pasikudah Beach. The surrounding area, with its breathtaking beauty, adds to the hotel's charm. The hotel itself is really beautiful, with a picturesque garden that overlooks the scenic Pasikudah Beach. The white sandy beach is impeccably clean and very safe, making it a perfect spot for relaxation and enjoyment. The constant sea breeze adds to the serene atmosphere. Additionally, the hotel features a beautiful pool, covered by a canopy of trees, providing a tranquil and refreshing escape. This combination of a stunning location, exquisite beach, and well-maintained facilities makes the hotel an ideal destination for a memorable getaway. ## Staff/Service From the moment we stepped into the hotel, we were warmly welcomed by an incredibly friendly staff. Their hospitality was evident in every interaction, and it went far beyond mere professionalism; it felt like genuine care. The staff's dedication to ensuring our comfort was impressive—they helped us in every possible way and made us feel truly at home. The level of intimacy and personal attention we received was exceptional, making our stay unforgettable. It's clear that the entire team, from the front desk to the cleaning staff and gardeners, is well-trained and committed to providing top-notch service. Their efforts contributed significantly to our delightful experience at the hotel. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Guest Relations Executive Mr. Dasun, Chef Sujeeva, and Chef Lakmal for their exceptional care and attention to all our needs from the moment we arrived at the hotel and throughout our meals. Their dedication and hospitality truly made our stay unforgettable. ## Foods The food at the hotel is absolutely delicious. The buffet was outstanding, offering a wide variety of dishes that cater excellently to both foreigners and locals. There were so many options to choose from, ensuring that every palate is satisfied. We highly recommend this buffet to everyone. Don't forget to try the bakery items as well—they are not to be missed! The two chefs, Chef Sujeeva, and Chef Lakmal frequently checked in with us, keen to ensure we had everything we needed, and suggested delicious dishes that we should not miss. Their recommendations were spot on and added a special touch to our meals. They also arranged for our toddler's food to be delivered very quickly without any hesitation. ## Room The room was immaculate and well-arranged, providing us with everything we could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The spaciousness of the room was remarkable, and the balcony offered breathtaking views of the ocean. Everything was meticulously clean and arranged, contributing to a feeling of utmost comfort and relaxation. Our experience with the room was exceptional. We initially booked a beach studio room, but to our delight, we were upgraded to an ocean studio, a gesture for which we are immensely grateful. In

Uga bay is situated near the calm and wonderful pasikudah beach. Food was great and service was also pretty good. One thing we love the most is the beach villa. We can easily access the beach from our villa. The staff is also friendly and very caring about guests. Would love to visit Uga Bay again!

We got scammed massively at the bar which made us feel very bad… we asked for a package of cigarettes at the bar, which would normally cost $11 in a shop and they charged us $28(!) for one package. This is more than 150% extra. I understand certain taxes need to be paid, but this price is out of hand… I would watch for all the extra costs they charge without telling you upfront.

We had a really nice stay. Everything was perfect. We recommend this Hotel to everyone who wants to visit this area. All people were so friendly. The rooms are very big. The bed was like sleeping at home and the food was delicious Try the Mango Mojito… so good
