Akara Hotel Pattaya

Can you believe the power went out during my stay? For almost an hour! The entrance was also under renovation, so I couldn't get in and had to take a detour. For a hotel that costs 500 a night, no one in the lobby offered to help with my large luggage. Are all those people just mannequins? And when I was leaving, I wanted to store my luggage, but they said I could only store it for one hour. Seriously??? What kind of bizarre hotel is this?

The hotel's location is perfect, right next to the Terminal 21 mall but still away from the noisy main street. The breakfast in the morning was incredibly luxurious, with Hong Kong-style dim sum, roast duck, and char siu. I ate so much I couldn't even eat lunch!

A very Instagrammable five-star hotel! The rooftop pool bar has a very chill vibe with great views. Check-in is upstairs, and there are staff on the ground floor to help with luggage. It's quite new.

The hotel's location is excellent, very close to Terminal 21, and it's also a convenient walk to the beach. There's a 7-Eleven downstairs. The rooftop pool is stunning, and there's a bar up there too, though it's open to non-hotel guests. This means it can get quite crowded with people taking photos, so I hope they consider restricting access a bit.

The hotel faces a busy commercial street, which is quite noisy. The noise goes on late into the night and affects sleep. However, its location is very convenient for Terminal 21, and there are plenty of options for dining and shopping, so it's not too bad!
