Reviews of Jomtien Longstay Hotel

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. There's a 200 baht deposit upon check-in. On our floor, there was a hot water dispenser and a microwave. In the room, we had a fridge, TV, two bottles of water, a wardrobe, and nightstands. The bathroom was quite spacious, with shower gel and shampoo provided, along with two large towels. There was no hairdryer. Cleaning was done daily. The furniture was old, and plaster was falling from the ceiling. The air conditioning hum was quite loud at night. The pool is on the 4th floor, but there weren't many sun loungers and no pool towels were available. The hotel doesn't have its own grounds. Tops supermarket and 7-Eleven are nearby. Jomtien Beach is about a 7-10 minute walk away. The bus station is also a 10-minute walk. You can get to anywhere in Pattaya using the songthaews (tuk-tuks).

Overall, it's an acceptable combination of price and quality. The breakfast isn't overly lavish, but it has all the classic essentials: toast, jam, vegetables, watermelon, eggs with sausages/rice with chicken. They only provide one large towel. The shower really needs a shelf.

This isn't my first time staying at the longstay hotel, and I chose it again because I didn't want to worry about the internet (as I work remotely). This time, however, the hotel was a big disappointment, and I think this will be my last visit. It all started with me having to shower in cold water for about 3 days because they couldn't fix it, even though I reminded them daily. Yet, every time I came back from the beach, nothing had changed. The shower curtain, meant to keep water in, did absolutely nothing, and water would be all over the bathroom floor. The toilet seat wouldn't stay up, so I had to hold it. Everything else was tolerable. The room has a fridge, balcony, TV, and air conditioning. They ask for a deposit upon check-in, but they didn't have change for 1000 baht, so they didn't take it from me. Of course, the price reflects the quality, so you'll have to consider if you're willing to sacrifice your comfort.

This hotel is for unpretentious travelers. The location is excellent, with everything you need nearby. It's a 5-minute walk to the beach, and Walking Street is close by. There's even a 7/11 right below the hotel. Overall, the hotel is as clean as can be, but you have to consider that it hasn't been renovated in about 15 years. If you're looking for a budget-friendly place to spend the night, this option works, as there are much worse hotels for the same price. The furniture is old, the decor isn't very fresh, and I imagine it's seen a lot. In the bathroom, there's a slight smell of mold. Breakfast is available (eggs, sausages, instant coffee, tea, vegetables, watermelon, toast). You won't go hungry, but you won't exactly enjoy it. Many European pensioners live in this hotel permanently.

Good location, good hotel.

First, the good points: it's located near the Zhongtian bus station, within a 10-minute walk. However, the hotel is very old, and the facilities are less than ideal. There was mold and rust in the corner of the bathroom. So, it's okay for one night as a temporary accommodation. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend staying here.

A good budget hotel with a refrigerator in the room, a microwave in the hallway, and a kettle on each floor. There's hot water. The room is quiet and there's a pool. The view from the windows is average, but it can get worse, so it's worth the money.

Pros: spacious room and balcony. Cons: the hotel is very old, everything is shabby. There's mold and rust in the corners of the bathroom. The road to the hotel is full of holes. They don't provide coffee or tea bags in the room. Only water. Breakfast is the same as usual, with only an omelet. You're hungry after breakfast. It's simply incomparable to breakfasts in Phuket and Bangkok. They charge a 200 baht deposit. It's unclear why. There's nothing to take from the room except the old nightstands.
