Not sure about the accommodation, but my Thai partner and I drink at the bar whenever we can. Beer is only 10 baht more expensive than in a convenience store. I have noticed that there are sometimes violent confrontations between bar staff and patrons, but I feel that the patrons are solely to blame. Judging from the number of immigrants drinking here, you can tell that the beer here is still good value for money.
