The best receptionists are Anita Varga, Rafael Martos and Jasmin Aschemeyer!!! I arrived on april 7 because it was my birthday. Plus they helped me with small issues and much bigger ones such as helping me with rental car. The hotel also has a great view if you have one overlooking the ocean.

The rooms are lovely and cosy, nice big bath and a good shower. The pools are extremely clean, and the indoor swimming pool is warm and quiet. Had the swimming pool to ourselves most days, which was nice. The breakfast is very varied and had bits of everything. All the staff were friendly and very helpful. The only small thing was there was no tea or milk in the room. All in all, it's a really good hotel.

A bit disappointed the hotel was from the 1960s? it was clean and tidy but it lacked the the nice touches of its sister hotel on Menorca, The TV had loads of channels but most were in German as was "Netflix" we asked at reception and they managed to find 3 English Channels, BBC News BBC NI and CBBC. Room was adequate it had a kettle but no tea or coffee, the fridge would be best described as an empty "Mini Bar" Bathroom was fine and the shower was brilliant couldn't fault it. Breakfast was OK but nothing spectacular, you could choose your own table , whereas you were allocated one which you had to use for your evening meal . The whole experience was spoiled by the hotel being packed with Germans, it seems the whole resort is geared towards them. There is a nice Italian Styled restaurant at the end of the street and a smaller but better one "Vivo" situated in the wooded area behind the beach. Rated at 4* by Jet2 but in our book 3* at best

Recently returned from Valentin Reina Paguera and had an absolutely wonderful holiday. From first point of contact asking for a higher floor I received an immediate reply from Miguel Angel setting the scene for a very welcoming and friendly team of staff. Miguel Angel also checked both my friend and I in,,,we arrived at different times of the day and immediately we felt the warmth of everyone in the Hotel. The entire place is spotless throughout and bedrooms are more traditional which is in fact I think more practical than some of the new designs in other hotels. Bedrooms are extremely comfortable and a kettle is provided which is yet another bonus. if you can then its worth paying for a sea view on higher floors....wonderful views over the bay. Food was very very good and a huge variety and was international fayre so something for all tastes,,,,in fact too much choice and all beautifully presented. You can choose where to sit at breakfast however at dinner you are assigned a table which is a fabulous idea meaning no hunting around looking whwre to sit, Well done on this . Pool area is beautiful and lots of loungers and all in tip top condition. Loved the fact that it was a very mixed race of nationalities meaning you really felt you were on holiday abroad. Paguera is gorgeous and lots and lots of shops etc and also three stunning beaches backed by a wonderful promenade, Manager Juan has been there many years and runs a superb team and indeed Hotel in every way. Buses to Palma are every 20/30 mins and take around 40 minutes right into the centre of the city at Plaza Espana and from there you can venture almost anywhere on the island. On a final note the ladies who did the cleaning throughout including bedrooms are exceptional both in friendliness and high standards of cleanliness. An exceptional holiday....so much so have booked to return for two weeks again.

Nice and very clean rooms, big balcony, all facing pool and ocean. The breakfast and dinner buffets were absolutely fabulous. Very clean eating hall. Evening entertainment with Bingo and performances were a lot of fun. Pools were very clean, free towel for the stay. Outdoor pool is not heated, so was very cold in April, but that is the way it is with other hotels as well.

Great place to stay, if you're German and want German cuisine ( only luke warm and no more than 2 vegetables that were overcooked) every day, and can understand German language, if not, you don't feel welcome or included. My husband and I had a week here which was too long. Dire evening entertainment and cold 'heated pool' and jacuzzi that had no jets/bubbles? As a positive, bus timetables available at reception which meant it was easy to travel out of Preguera each day, and Angy who hosted the Bingo Bongo was great, as was David the barman. Did not like how the restaurant manager stood over me to pay for any drinks ordered at meal times, was intimidating. Left before breakfast to fly home so requested food items, but was offered stale bread, cheese and garlic sausage, no juice, no milk for tea and no fruit or anything else so very disappointed and left hungry.

Arrived today - didn’t know what to expect- been coming to Paguera for 25 yrs - always stayed at villa mil or owned apartments- first impression was 60’s hotel block with pre dominantly German guests - oh my goodness from stepping foot into the reception area our pre conceived perceptions could not have been further incorrect- Miguel and Anita were welcoming humorous and accommodating we even met the hotel manager - Juan - we were allocated a room on floor 4 a standard double with a partial sea view - which was lovely but Miguel offered the choice of upgrading to floor 11 for an additional 30 euros per night - once seeing the view which is phenomenal we decided to upgrade - everything about this hotel is class - we have never stayed anywhere so welcoming as this hotel and look forward to recommending it to our friends in the future

I am writing this of my own personal experience, not that all of it will apply to others. This was my first holiday in 5 years, and first time as a solo traveller. I care for my 82 year old father who has cancer and copd and I work, so it was a lot to organise for some respite Initial thoughts on hotel were awful. I had paid extra for double room with balcony, and was only staying 4 nights. Got there late after a long day travelling, to be told for one night I would have to stay in smaller room. Smaller? I was in a box room with single bed and no balcony, just a very dirty patio enclosed with shrubs. The bed and pillow hard, I felt lost...as there was little I could do. Then I had to run to restaurant at 9.10pm as it finished at 9.30pm and what I had felt like the leftovers....All I could do for my first days holiday was to retire to bed. At 8am next day, I told reception I still couldnt unpack and was upset, and was only there another 3 nights. They DID get it sorted quickly and upgraded me to a lovely big room with sea view which did help me start to relax...and make up for an awful start. It is a very German/Spanish orientated hotel, but apart from not being able to speak to others much, all very relaxed and civilised. The food...maybe ive been spoilt with the 5 star hotels ive been to...but hot food seemed very average and lukewarm and quite mismatched at times, with no specific themes...but certainly lots of choice of bread, cheeses and salad...pastries and cakes. I don't have a sweet tooth so that was sadly not for me. The pool and pool area was lovely, and easy to find a bed. The girls entertaining people were friendly and enthusiastic. The evening entertainment was good, and would not affect anyone unless they wanted to be in bed by 11pm. The WORST part was leaving on a late flight. I was feeling quite poorly, and checked out at 10am. I left a tip in my room for cleaners, and paid my bill at reception. The lady on reception was lovely and accommodating, and my cases went in to a locked storage which I had a key for (and other people travelling later).... The WORST thing for me, which has never happened in my life, and unexpected in what seems like a hotel with mostly adult couples (being an adults only hotel)...I took my luggage for coach pick up, and all the money I had in case was gone. 130 euros and 100 sterling for my taxi back in England. I should have locked my case. As a solo traveller, I was worried the whole time about carrying money on my person in case having to leave unattended. I honestly thought that room was safe as there were only a few other cases for people leaving later. I would NEVER go in to a luggage room with intent on going through cases to steal. My faith in humanity here declined, and realised I could not trust anyone anywhere. I don't know if it was another traveller or staff. I wanted to cry at the bad ending to short holiday, but felt so poorly and weak. When I got back to England, I found o
