Secrets Mallorca Villamil Resort & Spa - Adults Only (+18)

Peguera|0.23km from city center
Just returned from 8 nights in the Villamil hotel, Peguara. Two rooms, one double and one room converted to a twin room. The hotel is in the prime location just off the centre of Palmira beach. The hotel is very luxuriously appointed from the grand reception area with large stone staircase up to the piano bar with its spectacular terrace area. Our rooms were facing the road so there was a little road noise in the mornings but nothing too loud. The rooms were both very spacious and super comfy beds and a large dual sink bathroom with great showers. We stayed with breakfast only, and the selection and quality was extremely impressive, the kids loved it!! The hotel has a superb pool terrace and shadier garden areas with very smart and comfy loungers (deep cushions/pads) all around. We were off peak season but at 10am there were always plenty of loungers to choose from, perhaps this ”livens” up in July/August? But having a great vantage point over the beach and steps down to a private gate that takes you straight down onto the walkway and beach means you don't have to pay for the beach loungers/parasols unless you want to be very close to the sea (4.5 Euro per item, so 2 loungers and a parasol is 13.5 Euros for the day). But the beach was pretty busy every day (especially the Northern end), probably helped by the fact that we were very lucky with the weather (27c every day, not a spot of rain/clouds and still very warm in the evening. Short sleeves/shorts in the evenings). I don't think the weather is always like this in October? Towels are handed out for pool/beach use and can be replaced at any point by the pool guy who also helps with the overhead sun lounge shades at the front row of terraced loungers. All the staff were extremely professional and helpful. Heading out the from of the hotel takes you directly into a very touristy and not particularly tasteful main boulevard of Peguera. There are some very good restaurants to be found in Peguera and some more touristy and also German eating options. This is a predominantly German frequented resort, but I think this only helps to drive the quality of bars/restaurants up generally. No Irish bars and not one football shirt in sight so happy days!! It looks like this hotel is easily the smartest in Peguera and it made our holiday feel very special. We will be coming back for certain. Highly recommended.

Cupido Boutique Hotel

Cupido Boutique Hotel

Peguera|0.17km from city center
Hit and miss I will find this review quite difficult to write as the Cupido has many good points, but, unfortunately for us, I think the negative aspects just about outweighed the positives. The main asset the hotel has is its staff who are hardworking and happy in their roles and constantly engage in a cheerful manner with guests throughout the day... they really are fantastic and a credit to the company. There are little touches that are very pleasing such as for the first welcome drink they don’t just offer you a watered down orange juice or 1/2 inch glass of wine but more or less anything you want from the bar (obviously within reason) such as tea, coffee, glass of wine or full pint of beer... good start! When by the pool or roof terrace the lovely staff will come round and offer you free slices of cold water melon to cool you off a bit... all thoughtful gestures. The rooms appear to be very hit or miss, we started with a definite 'miss' initially with a tiny dark room (no balcony) tucked in the corner of the building with a very small single window looking out onto the blocked out side of someone’s balcony about 3ft. away (see photos) - the bigger window to the right wasn’t ours. Admittedly we booked a room without balcony as we had no choice when booking with Jet2, however, Jet2 don’t appear to charge extra for a balcony room anyway - it was just that they had none left - so this shouldn’t really have affected what room we were allocated. But this is where the lovely staff come into play again, between the manageress Carlota and the lovely receptionist Paula, after 2 nights they managed to swop our room to one that still had no balcony but was bigger, brighter, floor to ceiling window with superb sea view... what a difference! We were 2 weeks half board so you would have thought they’d have put someone that was only staying a few days on B&B in the first room to save us the embarrassment of having to ask to move. We would have been really miserable in that dark room for the whole fortnight. We were half board and are by no means fussy eaters but we thought the evening meal choice very limited even for a small hotel. There was literally one meat, one fish, one pasta and one grill station choice - none of which were very appealing. There isn’t even the choice of something like pizza which is usually on every hotels menu. These were accompanied by a choice of one vegetable and one style of potato. Even my partner who will hoover up anything didn’t enjoy any of the evening meals. But to counteract that the breakfast was okay and the morning machine coffee was the best I’ve had in a long time. As I say hit and miss. The communal areas of the hotel are lovely and everywhere is spotless but, as others have stated, it is in a rather noisy area (even in low season) with street bar music finishing after 2am., people shouting in the street in the early hours and the glass and bin wagons making an awful racket around 6am. which isn’t very condu

Great family business. I really like smaller places in top locations where You are Someone- Guest! Big commercial hotels are like many making fabrics where food is so bad and You are no one! Here Food was like from Michelin star restaurant with friendly chats and peaceful atmosphere. Amazing! Room is super clean and has everything what You will need in long or short stay. I was there 6 nights and i could do way more in the same spot because there is everything next to You; beach is just next to, so many shops: different cousins (if You will have enough of hotel restaurant - but I don’t believe that!), bus stop is 5 min walk. Staff - impressed in terms of how many languages they speak! And how friendly they are:) All together from me 10/10! Highly recommend I’ll be back for sure.

The hotel is located in the centre of the city centre, and the hotel is located in the centre of the city centre. The beach is in the front of the hotel, is in very good conditions, has showers, I was at the end of August and it was a little wave beach, very warm. The hotel is very comfortable and the hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable. The hotel was very comfortable and very comfortable. All I have named, in perfect conditions. The hotel staff in general, with good attitude and excellent treatment with guests. The hotel's pool is also in perfect conditions. P.D. If you want to know a very beautiful beach, I recommend: San Telmo. Conclusion : Apartments Ponent was an excellent choice to culminate in this summer holiday.

Charming boutique with stunning decor and amazing staff. Room was great, slightly simplistic but ideal for the relaxing laid back approach that this hotel offers. The staff truly are a unique bunch, everyone I met working there had a genuine smile on their face and would do anything for you. The only suggestion would be that the pool area could do with updating. But if we go back to Paguera we would 100% go back to this hotel. It’s the ideal location for the beach and all local bars and restaurants and incredibly quiet and peaceful at night

Just back from a week break in Paguera. This was a very last minute trip and we were very lucky to find such a great hostal The proprietors were so kind and welcoming. Spotlessly clean throughout, comfy beds and pillows. Charming chambermaid Breakfast was simple but plenty of choice and freshly cooked eggs, bacon and sausage along with normal cold meats, cheese and fruit Very hot whilst we were there and Paguera is a lively loud resort until about midnight but there is air con although we just left the balcony door open so early nights were not possible 2 minutes from the beach and as many bars and restaurants as you could ever desire

and linen - Great breakfast - Walking distance to the attractions & beach - and fabulous hosts! We did a last minute booking for 3 friends from London to get away from the miserable weather. We were skeptical at first as we read hostal as in English hostal.Howeevr it was definitely a hotel with lots of great touches. From our ”late check-in” to our ”late check-out” Patrik & Gunnar were incredibly accommodating - pardon the pun. Our beds were turned down daily by lovely Coco The housekeeper. Breakfast was included a continental style buffet with eggs made to order , coffee water and juice endless supply each morning. The Location is set back from the main roads so it was as quiet as we would like it with “gratis” parking in front of the hotel . A few minutes away and there’s a very tidy but bustling “high street” with all the cuisines and drinks your heart could desire and tourist shops , the beach was a bit beyond this making it perfect for visitors of all pallets x great place and will definitely come again. The hosts and location really make this a gem! thank you guys
