The staff were very friendly.
There was a hole in the ceiling paper and dust rained down.
The music on Friday night was very loud and afternoon the band had finished the music carried on 'til well after midnight

While the TV, bed, and self-service coffee/tea were positive aspects, I must highlight some concerns. I regret to share my unsatisfactory experience during my recent stay at The Pirates Inn. The lack of a welcoming host, limited room space, and subpar service left me dissatisfied. Additionally, the non-functioning heater in the morning added to the discomfort. There were no mats in the bathroom and toilet and also no ventilation in the bathroom.
I appreciate the positive elements but hope for enhancements in other areas for a more satisfying stay..
I hope the hotel can address these issues for future guests.

The property was dirty. The carpet on the stairs had the appearance that it had not been vacuumed for some time. The bed was comfortable.

Well if you like mould, this is the place to go! The room is awful. Not to mention the noise from the pub below bellowing until midnight. It’s not a safe place to sleep if you have any medical conditions. We booked for two nights, but due to mould and noise left after one!!

The room was small and not particularly clean, the room felt tired and well used . The bathroom was clean but very cold (no heating) . Cost at £58-50 you could probably get a multiple hotel or excellent independent hotel at £70/£75 . The food was ok but not great . The beer was excellent, I think this must be a wet led ,drinkers pub. The bar closed at 9pm and I believe there were no staff on site at overnight. The heating went off at 9pm and didn’t come on in the morning. A continental breakfast was provided in the room which was nice with porridge ,fruit ,croissant and cheese and fruit juice with some fruit as well .There was plenty of tea,coffee and milk sachets and biscuits on offer in the room.

It was a delightful room, and we enjoyed our stay. It's worth noting that since it's situated within an inn, you might hear some noise from the pub downstairs until around 10 pm, which added to the lively atmosphere. However, after 10 pm, it became very quiet and peaceful. The location is in a tranquil area, just a 15-minute walk from the train station and 7-8 minutes from the town centre. Thanks

The bathroom was full of mold, and really needs a deep clean.
The breakfast was a continental breakfast left in the room, on the third night it was not renewed, and we had to ask for individual items.

The check in was a quick ‘here’s your room, here’s the key’
The room needs a really deep clean. Shower/toilet mould on tiles. Shower head dirty.
Breakfast- cocoa pops and crunchy nut cornflakes mini packs. They seemed put out when we asked to exchange the cocoa pops.
Supposedly there was toiletries but apart from some hand soap, bleach and bathroom cleaner ( were we supposed to clean the bathroom ourselves!) they were non existent. Sorry but I would never stay here again, even if they paid me.
