Quality Inn & Suites Sandusky

Overall is good, especially the location. The breakfast can make you full. The staff is friendly. However I have some concern on the lock of the door.

I few issues with the room…the safe was just the back part as the entire front part not on the wall, the toilet you had to flush 3 times before it would flush, the tub had no drain plug stopper, turned the tv on and it wouldn’t shut off and tried plugging my phone charger into the wall and it fell back out of the plug onto the floor. I just dealt with everything and didn’t say anything to the hotel.

The pool desperately needs cleaned, lots of things floating in there. Very disappointing. The doors to the room are obnoxiously loud closing and the hotel had a group of young athletes in and out of rooms all night preventing us from getting any sleep. Hallways could be better marked to find your room. I didnt see any placards coming up the stairs. Certain areas I noticed were recently mopped but they didnt bother sweeping the floors first to pickup the receipts and miscellaneous trash. The showers had nice water pressure and temperature with dated shower heads that make a bit of a screeching sound. The tubs need some TLC, couldn't tell what was going on with the dark circles at the bottom. We had two rooms, one on each floor and they were both the same as far as the condition of the tub.

The power went out very brielfly like 5mind and we went without air conditioning the whole night.

The room was good sized. Bathroom wasn't clean. Dirty wash rags left in the shower, shower curtain was dirty. Carpets going down the steps were nasty. Looked as if they hadn't been vacuumed in months. Pool was ok. Was well over 100° in the pool room area. Broked floor tiles near or around the pool. Breakfast was ok, not much to choose from but did the job. But overall, was an ok stay

We were told the breakfast ended at 10:00 when we checked in, it actually ended at 9:00. The sink wasn't in the same area of the toilet and shower, kind of unsanitary, because you had to open door to wash hands.

The room we reserved wasn't available when we arrived on the property. The desk clerk said, "Oops, I didnt see your reservation, and so I double booked it". It wasn't the best arrangement, but we managed.

The room was clean but dated. The towels were very thin. The breakfast was good, with the usual make your own waffles, toast, scrambled eggs, sausage, cereal, and juice machine. My in room safe was locked and unusable. All in all, it is a decent hotel whose rating is about accurate.

There was mildew on the curtains and bathroom walls. There was an unpleasant smell in the room. There were stains all over the carpet. But it was close to a lot of fun things and a cheap price.
