Duxton Hotel Perth

The reception was excellent especially Alex and Asta who assisted in the room change upgrade with a view even though I had to pay AUD40 extra to move for the additional 5 nights stay. Stayed all 6 nights at the hotel. Location of hotel is great, central in the city and the walk to the bank and everywhere we wanted to go was pleasant.

Convenient location, valet parking costs AUD$65, but there is some street parking next to the hotel that is chargeable till 6pm. A short 8-10mins to Murray Street Mall with a nice night walk. The room comes with two double beds (1.3m) just alright for two adults and two 10-years old boys. Fast check-in and free WIFI. No YouTube and Netflix, but can do casting from mobile devices.

Extremely clean room with a beautiful view of the City. need to walk around 10 mins to take the free CAT red bus that goes to perth station. There is also a convenience store that opens till 9 or 10 pm opposite the hotel.

I enjoyed my stay here. It’s clean and very comfortable to stay.

Had one night stay for Easter Holiday, conveniently located in Perth CBD, hotel is a quite outdated and swimming pool is small.

I am writing this to warn other travelers about a major security and privacy failure we experienced at Duxton Hotel WA. Upon returning to our room at 8:55 PM, we were shocked to find our room door fully open and propped up with a wooden door wedge. Our room was located near the elevator, meaning our personal belongings and privacy were completely exposed to every passerby for nearly 5 hours (housekeeping finished at 4:30 PM). The most disappointing part was the management's response. They admitted the mistake but refused a refund, justifying it by saying "CCTV showed no one entered" and "nothing was stolen." This logic is absurd. Security is about prevention, not just reporting after a crime occurs. Whether or not someone entered is a matter of LUCK, but leaving the door open was a total failure of their "Duty of Care." They offered a bottle of wine and breakfast, which we declined as it felt like a dismissive gesture for such a serious security issue. If you value your privacy and safety, think twice before staying here. A 5-star hotel should not have a 0-star security protocol.
