Hotel Khaosok and Spa

We stayed here for x3 nights and didn’t want to leave. The hosts, Chot and his wife were incredibly welcoming and friendly. The hotel itself was beautifully done with the bungalows being very clean and spacious. The gardens are just heavenly and full of lush plants and gorgeous flowers. The food from their restaurant was absolutely devine from everything to spring rolls, to deep fried banana flowers, to bamboo shoot stir fry to almost every type of tropical fruit shake imaginable (the shakes are to die for), we didn’t bother eating anywhere else. They were very helpful in booking us activities such as a morning bamboo rafting and transfers to Ao Nang as well. My young daughter got very unwell and they were so lovely and helpful in accommodating us as well as my Dad for an extra night. The hotel itself is situated quite far away from the Ratchaprapha Pier and the township and it did take a while to reach these places, but we loved the seclusion and quiet of being removed from heavily built up areas. Would highly recommend them and would have no hesitation in booking with Chot and Joy again.

We had a wonderful couple of nights here at the beginning of April. Chot and Joy we're welcoming, friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the delicious food in the hotel and ventured on a morning jungle trek. One of our travellers also enjoyed a massage which she would recommend. We are very thankful for our wonderful and special time in the Hotel Khaosok and Spa. The Team around Mr. Chot and Joy ist very friendly, helpful, attentive and kind, giving you a familiar and personal heartwarming atmosphere. You can relax and take a fantastic timeout in the beautiful designed pool and garden of the hotel and or make very good organized Tours offered by the Hotel. The Rooms are very well designed too, very clean, very comfortable beds and bathrooms. We had no Problems with Mosquitos. The Massages in the Spa are very good, too.The kitchen of the Hotels Restaurant is fantastic, try the Pumpkin Curry and the sticky rice and the springrolls, they were our favorites all the way from Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phetchaburri, Chumphon and Khaolak. We stayed as a family of 5 in two rooms (1&4) and we are so glad we chose this hotel. Mr Choyt the manager was so helpful ans arranged so much for us including the lake tour and our transfers to ko Lanta. When we arrived we walked into the main town which is nice steady half hour walk away with some stunning backdrops and past the monkey temple and lots of little shops and restaurants (the hotel do free drop offs to town a few times a day). We priced up tours and transfers in town and they was the same price as the hotel so we decided to book direct with them and im so glad we did so much easier getting collected and dropped off straight to your hotel. The lake trip was beautiful and a must do if here and the tubing was great too. We booked a massage here and the ladys where outstanding the best thai massage we ever had and only 350 baht. The rooms were perfect. Immacutely clean with warm showers and comfy beds, very well sealed from outside bugs etc remember to bring your deet as you are in the jungle! I like that rooms had privacy glass so no one could see in and even though they are surrounded by gorgeous greenery and already feel very private that was a nice touch. The hotel sells insect repellant and rain jackets for cheaper than the mini market next door! We had breakfast and tea at the hotel and the food was beautiful and good portion sizes too! Pool was clean and quiet. The hotel is a ten minute walk to the monkey temple and a couple of minutes walk to the elephant sanctuary. Remember to bring cash as alot of shops / restaurants in this area Inc the hotel only take baht which is not an issue as there is an atm at the mini market next door. Overall this hotel really is a little slice of paradise with stunning gardens and very peaceful if you are reading this reveiw and thinking of booking this hotel dont hesitate, you wont regret it. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay super memorable only wish we stayed for more than 3 nights!

4.5 rounded up to 5. Communication prior to our trip was fantastic, we arranged pickup from Phuket airport (for 2500 baht) and it was smooth and flawless. The driver drove like a bat out of hell, but we made it safely! From the moment we arrived we felt well cared for, all needs were met promptly. We arranged several activities through the hotel and although one (the cooking class) was a let-down that was of no fault of the hotel but they still tried to make it right by providing us with a complimentary meal. We had multiple meals here, and although we were there for breakfast they had no problem making us lunch/dinner fare (curries). Our room was immaculate, which is amazing to me considering we were literally in the jungle. Zero bugs, zero spiders (plenty outside though!). At night we could hear monkeys around us but never saw any. The ONLY negative we could come up with for the hotel was that the shower water was never hot. Most of the time a tepid shower was welcome, but in the morning a warm shower was wanted. There was a slight hiccup at checkout when someone else’s meal was put on our bill, but there was no arguing, it was promptly fixed and they were very apologetic. Overall we had a fantastic and relaxing stay. We would 100 percent recommend this property.

On the surface everything is ok, yes.... BUT if you like the loud noise of the road at the swimming pool...you have to pay only in cash, this and other details look dodgy, the pool does open at 8 am and close at 6.30 pm it is written nowhere, I personnally booked there because I love to swim early morning, at least from 7 and after the day activity so at this hotel forgot about it. the photo of the pool is far from the reality lol not that big. The room is real dark, We had to ask for towels after house cleaning, the sheets had spotted... The guy was really suspicious with everything, not comfortable at this place., they almost forgot to give the key deposit back, glad I had a shake before leaving lol

David and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Khoa Soc hotel and spa. The accommodation blends in with the surrounding eco reserve and we felt like we were living in a rainforest. Mr Choy,manager,helped us choose unique experiences including an elephant encounter and bamboo rafting trip to alcove where local pancakes made of rice flour and coconut were served. We also enjoyed an interesting night canoe journey and saw mangrove snakes...safe reptile encounter

The rooms are okay but pretty basic. One shower was the first day cold. Next days half warm. The hotel is outside of the village which we knew but is not so convenient is you want to have dinner in the village. The hotel provides a shuttle but only till 5 pm. The main issue I have with this hotel is that the manager is really pushing tours. Apperently they make a good margin on this so they really try to push you in tours. Also if you ask for transportation to the village the price is almost double when you arrange somewhere else. In my view not a good and clever way to service your clients. In my experience Khao Sok is overall developing in the wrong direction. Not really friendly like elswhere and really expensive tours that are not all that great. The nature is beautiful but I would only recommend to go there if you don’t get frustrated with the cons mentioned above.

We stayed at this nice property for three nights which is located outside of Khao Sok town and that makes this a nice peaceful resort in the national park. Twelve rooms are available on the property and though we were a couple we booked a two room cottage as we desired greater space. However naturally these were designed as two separate rooms for two couples. This being in the national park obviously does not have the same comfort level of city hotels. However it does have a very good feeling of being in the park, with a lot of trees and vegetation. The restaurant on the property has very limited choice for food which is of a lower standard than one would expect on Thailand. The scooter that we hired from the property was not in great shape and a bit old compared to other rentals in Thailand. The manager is always available and willing to help with all the information you require on his finger tips. The other staff are also very obliging. A nice property to stay at if you are willing to compromise on the food a bit. No restaurants in the immediate vicinity, walking distance.
