Checked in late Christmas night. Everyone at the desk area was super nice, and helpful with any of my questions or needs. My room was clean and everything I expect from this brand. I would guess this hotel will going to update their bathrooms soon to the modern showers, but mine was perfectly fine. Can't beat the location. Walking distance to anything you need to see, buy, or eat. The indoor market next door is the highlight, and an absolute must see. I was politely and quickly moved to a different room on my last night, to further myself from a non stop barking dog. Thank you Other than not given the $10 a day Hilton Honors credit which I was told I could use, I had a wonderful stay.

The pool was closed due to a power outage the day before. I booked the room this day because it was a hot one and my children wanted to be at a pool. But overall the stay was great like always!!!
Wyndham Philadelphia Historic District

Philadelphia City Center
I have mixed reviews about this place. We visited from out of town and wanted to see all the historic aspects of Philly. The location for this hotel is perfect walking distance to most historic sites which we enjoyed! However, upon check in, we received a room with a window next to a busy street and fire station. It was so loud all the time on the second floor ( room 206) and at night and morning due to buses and emergency vehicles leaving. Bring earplugs! We immediately noticed this when we entered the room and put our stuff down and called the front desk but they would not change our room due to it being sold out. I’m don’t believe it. Had our room had bugs or bed bugs, they would have switched us immediately. The walls are pretty thin too and we had some loud neighbors with music and tv blasting at the beginning. The hotel promptly came up and took care of that for us. There is no complimentary breakfast which I knew about but figured we’d find a cafe close each morning and grab something. Don’t rely on that! There are no cafes close. The last thing I want to think about is finding breakfast after I get ready. The buffet breakfast was decent but $20 a person. And one waffle a la carte was $14. With a family, that’s just too expensive for a 4 night stay. They did have a grab and go section for small cereals but nothing filling. I enjoyed that the hotel had a parking garage but wow $44 a day!!! That’s crazy! There were very limited hotels in the city that have parking so I choose a hotel with parking and close to historic sites versus one that didn’t include breakfast. But honestly, if I had to choose again, I’d spend more money and make sure my hotel included breakfast, parking, and wasn’t close to any emergency hubs. The hotel rooms is not very updated but the lobby is. Popcorn ceilings in rooms. The tvs are just cable and not updated smart tvs. The only light in the small bathroom is the warm yellow light around the mirror. Beds were comfy. Take your money elsewhere and enjoy upgraded amenities and services.
Hampton Inn Philadelphia Center City-Convention Center

The hotel is exactly what you would expect - a Hampton Inn in the middle of a large city. Parts of the neighborhood around it are not that great but it is almost adjacent to the convention center and I always felt safe. The hotel staff/security are very visible at all times. What makes this an excellent rating for me is the staff. The staff at this hotel are TOP NOTCH! Every single employee was kind, caring, and engaging. A shout out to Kevin who helped me get receipts together for submitting for business expenses. They even mailed a sweater to me that I left behind. Just can't say enough about the wonderful customer service at this hotel.
Homewood Suites by Hilton Philadelphia-City Avenue

The Hilton is a great place to stay no matter if your visiting or going to make it your home for awhile, I recommend it not just because of the big flatscreen TV's and cable on demand in every room. But other things such as the complimentary breakfasts they have cooked fresh at the lobby every morning, as well as the dinners they serve every Wednesday are just as good. Overall, the staff and people treat you like family, as well as the fellow tenets I recommend this place to anyone who needs a place to stay when visiting anything around the Philadelphia area, especially since the location makes it convenient for traveling to most of the favorite dinners and hot-spots. 5 stars!!
