Ibis Budget Phnom Penh Riverside

The only downside is the small room, but overall it's clean, the staff are friendly, and the surrounding amenities are excellent. It's a great value-for-money hotel in Phnom Penh.

The pillows were terrible, the filling was all lumpy and broken, and they were so high my neck was killing me.

I stayed for 3 nights, and the bed was neatly made every day, which made for a very comfortable stay. The bathroom in this room was also clean, and the hot water flow was excellent. Since this used to be a Toyoko Inn, almost all rooms generally come with a bathtub. More stylish cafes and restaurants have opened up around City Hall on Diamond Island, just across the river, increasing the dining options within walking distance. The overall comfort of the stay has improved significantly compared to before. There are several Chinese convenience stores nearby, so you can easily walk to grab a few things. Aeon 1 is about a 10-minute walk away. Free parking was also available.

The design is typical of Toyoko Inn – small but perfectly formed. My main complaints are the lack of drinking water in the room and no toiletries provided. I probably won't book here again.
