Jordan made our check-in genuinely worthwhile. As Gold Hilton members, we were upgraded to a quiet room tucked away from the chaos of a tattoo convention that just so happened to land on the exact same dates as our stay... a coincidence we didn’t mind avoiding. But paradise wasn’t perfect. We had pre-ordered breakfast for 5:00 a.m. to fuel an early hike. The hotel usually doesn’t deliver until 5:30, yet the team pushed to get it to us by 5:15. That urgency was appreciated. Unfortunately, when we returned from the hike about an hour and a half later, with the “Do Not Disturb” sign still clearly posted on our door, housekeeping had entered the room and thrown away all of our untouched breakfast. Thankfully, the manager, TJ, and the kitchen staff quickly prioritized us and replaced the meal at no charge. Still, it was an inconvenience. The larger concern wasn’t the lost food, but the fact that room service entered without permission. We had thousands of dollars’ worth of belongings in the room: jewelry, designer products, and personal items we wouldn’t have left out had we known staff would come in. I raised the issue with management. To their credit, the hotel owned the mistake. They apologized sincerely and corrected what they could. In the end, we felt taken care of. The property itself is beautiful, the staff are warm and attentive, and accidents do happen. On the brighter side, Renata’s Hearth was excellent with flavorful dishes and a lively atmosphere. Drinks at Wright Bar were strong, bold, and worth the price tag. Between the dining, the service recovery, and the genuine hospitality, it’s clear this hotel is run by a team that cares. Overall, despite a few hiccups, our stay was very positive. We’d gladly return. And next time, we’ll just keep an extra eye on the “Do Not Disturb” sign.
