A very basic stay, which we were surprised about considering the high price of the room. For context, we do “staycations” at various AZ resorts about every 6 weeks so we are quite familiar with the seasonal pricing and offerings of many of the hotel chains. We often stay in either suites or “residences”/“villas” to accommodate our family. These have typically features the usual hotel and resort amenities, and often have private outdoor sitting areas and sometimes private plunge pools. With these being called the Westin Villas, and charging nearly $900/night for a one bedroom suite, we were certainly expecting a similar experience. Disappointingly, we arrived to find first, that they do not offer valet or bell staff to assist with luggage. Next, that there is no room service, and that housekeeping is only done every other morning and can’t be requested otherwise. The “villa” was a decent sized one bedroom suite with no private outdoor space. Soap etc was provided, but no other personal care items like cotton pads, dental kits, or nespresso type machine (a regular coffee maker was there). They do have a washer/dryer/dishwasher with soap which is really nice for an extended stay. We did take notice of the mosquitos in the room, which were likely due to the fact that the entrance door had a sizable gap in the seal (photo)—not a great thing on a ground floor in Arizona where all kinds of pests could get in. We didn’t check out the Villa pool as we headed over to the Westin resort pools for their Lazy River. That feature was cool, but the pool area and chairs could use a good cleaning or replacement as most were dirty/stained and not in great shape. Overall, this isn’t a bad accommodation, especially for families with kids doing an extended stay and willing to do their own grocery shopping and cooking etc, *however* for the high price it was absolutely not meeting expectations imo.

We have stayed at this property every Spring for the past several years - sometimes for multiple weeks. The location is great and the property is incredibly well maintained. There have been recent updates to the pools and outdoor seating areas. All of the staff are friendly and helpful, from the front desk to housekeeping.

We are multiple vacation owners, who have stayed at Westin Kierland villas over 30 times. We love the property, its location to desired amenities, restaurants, and shopping. The landscaping and maintenance staffs take pride in the quality of the villas and its grounds. Housekeeping is attentive and professional in meeting our needs. But it is the people who make our stays wonderful! At the Front Drive, Rob, Mark and the staff are generous with their time and attention to our needs. The Front Desk (Gracie, Robert, Antonio, et al) greeted us with warmth and a sincere "Welcome Home" greeting. The McDowell Market, pool service, and restaurant/bar people are there to serve and please patrons. We name names of those who serve above and beyond our expectations. To name a few (but not all) would include Devon, Dani, Sean (who also does a great stargazing presentation), Juan, Tucker, Joe, and Ryan, et al. The atmosphere is fun, accommodating, and we truly appreciate their service. Our restaurant portfolio continues to expand, shopping is abundant, and there is a great variety of entertainment and sports venues to enjoy. The bagpiper at the Westin Resort near sunset is always entertaining. Once a high school conference championship tournament was finishing on the last hole as he began his performance - that is the way to play golf! The weather encourages outdoor activities, golf and hiking on the abundance of desert trails. The Westin shuttle service provides great service to patrons desiring to venture off campus. We look forward to our return in the autumn.

Last October, I redeemed my Marriott Vacation Club points for one night stay at this villa. There are a lot of shopping, dining and entertainment around the villa, very convenient location. However, the Operations and Management has a lot to improve. On the day of our checkout, we came back to our room from breakfast to find 5-6 guys in our room installing new TVs. We did not receive any notice of such event, not to mention this was a total invasion of our privacy. We also did not understand why they would not wait until we checked out of the room. There were other guests who got woken up from this TV installation. I don't want to speculate how the villa managed to screw up the TV installation with guests still in the rooms. After my complaint, I was told that my vacation club points would be credited back to compensate for the inconvenience. However, after four months and several phone call and messages, I have not received any callback nor the credit. Again, I am very disappointed at the management operations at this vacation villa, and the Westin/Marriott Vacation Club brand.

Kierland Villas never disappoints! We have been coming here for 20 years and the property always looks brand new. Currently they are renovating the guest villas building by building with new paint, carpet and fixtures. We come for the pools; there is a family pool and a "relaxation" pool, and enjoy them both. Poolside service is tasty and reasonably priced, and the staff are always friendly and remember you names. Make sure you ask for Justin! I can't spak to the golf, as I don't partake, but it's 3 courses are the big draw. Of course Villas guests are welcome to use all the amenities of the adjacent Westin Kierland resort hotel - inclusing the fabulous pool and lazy river ride. Although we are owners at the Villas, anyone can check the rack rates and book. Often the proces are cheaper than a standard room at the adjacent resport, and of course the Villa rooms are bigger - each has a balcony, bedrrom, bathroom, living room with kitchen or kitchenette.

The resort is beautiful & well maintained. It’s a great location near plenty of shopping, dining, & other activities. Room (2 Bedroom Villa) *The room was spacious & newly refreshed with soft, neutral colors & upscale furnishings. The ceiling fans were a huge plus in the summer months. There was also a fireplace for winter months. *The beds were very comfortable, not too soft like most hotel beds. *There were no smart TVs so we couldn’t use our streaming services to watch TV. Smart TVs should have been included in the newly "refreshed" room. *There was only 1 luggage rack for 2 bedrooms. We requested 3 more (one for each person), but never received them. *The view was marginal as we did not get the high floor requested & our building (building 7) faced a part of the golf course under renovation with a neighborhood beyond. Also, the east/west orientation made the patio unusable in afternoon & evening. Food & Drink *The Adventure Pool had a good menu with lighter options. The food was fine. *The Brittlebush Bar & Grill (at the golf course) had a good menu along with a "standard" kids menu which is always a plus. Our meal there was excellent. Amenities *The Villa Recreation Pool was a decent size with plenty of chairs including options in the sun or shade. The waterslide was great & the line was never too long, so our 12 year old & 15 year old kids enjoyed it. *The Resort Adventure Pool was huge with plenty of chairs & cabanas (for rent). The waterslide & lazy river were both fun; tubes were supplied for the lazy river. *The Kierland FlowRider was unique & our kids loved it. We noticed the experience can vary due to instructors & other riders in your session; they allow up to 8 people per session. It costs $55/person/hour plus a one-time $15 fee. *The Driving Range was convenient to the pro shop & all the employees were very helpful. They let our 12 year old son borrow a putter to practice on the putting green. It costs $30/adult/day & $10/junior/day with complimentary clubs. *The Shuttle Service was fantastic & all our drivers were very polite. You can call or text for a ride around the resort, to nearby shopping centers (Kierland Commons & Scottsdale Quarter), & to/from the grocery store (until 4:00 pm) Service *The check-in time on the app was not accurate. We arrived at 2:00 pm to check-in & were disappointed we had to wait until 4:00 pm to do so. The hotel staff didn’t seem concerned about the discrepancy, even after I showed them my app. We did get a key to the pool & our room was ultimately ready slightly before 4:00 pm. *The hotel had a text option to request service and/or ask questions. It was easy to use & the response time was good. Tips *I would recommend the villas for families. I would stay at the main resort for an adult only trip. *For the best room, request an upper floor room in building 5, building 3, or building 6 (north facing only). Those rooms face the golf course & mountains beyond with a north/s

We always enjoy our visit to the Westin Kierland Villas, Scottsdale. We were thrilled to learn that the Wine Dinner, hosted by Tony Miller, was back in action! Tony Miller is a very knowledgeable wine expert who has an amazing palate and select premium quality wines to share & pair with amazing gourmet dishes. I highly recommend this resort and encourage everyone to attend a wine dinner!

First time in Scottsdale. Absolutely loved the villas. The bar staff were the best, and all other staff at the villas had excellent service, best service we have had in our 3 week trip. Shout out to the young ladies on the bar (guys to but ladies were a standout for us). The staff must be a reflection of the management at the villas, everything is run like clockwork. Pools always stocked with towels, everything is always immaculate on the grounds.
