I can not speak highly enough about the staff here at the Deer Valley 6. Yumari at the front desk in the AM has the patience of a saint in addition to being extremely competent at what she does. A quality rarely encountered in our time where even the slightest criticism in customer service is often met with wolf cries of “abuse” and actual victims being DNR’d from properties for simply saying or pointing out that something wasn’t acceptable. This gal understands what customer service is actually about…..serving the customer. Points also to Jose on maintenance, creative, diligent with a can do attitude and a willingness to work; qualities relatively unseen consistently in a time when not quite functional and bellow par are common SOP. Brava to management for hiring quality responsible and able personnel such as these two. The only blotch upon this and other establishments around town I’ve discovered was overnight security. A coworker was insulted and verbally threatened with violence in addition to being called names late one evening while attempting to drop off groceries. Absolutely unacceptable by any reasonable standard yet a common occurrence with this and other third party security I discovered upon further investigation. I trust that corporate will look into things as many of these “Rambo “ types are armed and apparently willing to do violence. Thank God these types are not actually part of the motel 6 family as the 6 as we’ve come to call them has been a first choice for extended or last minute stays for us. It’s true, they do keep the light on, and for the hard working homeless, as well as those of us constantly traveling for whatever reason that light presents a true beacon of being at home during this time of outrageous housing costs in the age of Covid in the midst of a real zombie apocalypse.

This place is not worth the price. If there are other places. Choose something else

The location was perfect , anything you need is in walking distance. The price is affordable and the rooms are clean and comfortable, but the management is extremely rude and unprofessional the night management are very unprofessional and the day are even worst ….

Hotel was clean, front desk person was nice, however, lighting in the bathroom is non-existent. I called to the front desk to ask why there is no light in the bathroom, where the light should have been was covered with a metal plate. They told me they were full and would send someone in the morning. I told them we would be gone by then. Talk about a safety issue if you take a shower or close the door to use the toilet! Also the ceiling light in the bedroom was plated over as well. I paid way too much to be left in the dark!

Very satisfied with the stay. The price is too high, and it feels like a hotel with the highest cost performance. There are a lot of choices to eat next to the location. The parking lot is large enough to be safe and secure. The most important thing is that the swimming pool is very good. In the evening, I went to swim a bubble pool and recall that the life in the United States was so comfortable.

NOT RECOMMENDED IF YOU ARE JUST TRAVELING THROUGH TOWN FOR A SHORT STAY! I was traveling solo with my small, frail dog. The hotel is kept nice and tidy, but since most of the guests are people who live in the hotel as their permanent residence or long-term guests employed in local construction projects, there are weird and demeaning rules that the hotel applies to guests traveling through town on a vacation or for a 1-2 day business trip. I chose the hotel, because it was near a physician with whom we had an appointment and the Sleep Inn website described the hotel as ”pet-friendly.” When we arrived in town a few hours before our medical appointment, I called to ask if we could check in early. I was told my room was ready and that checking in early would trigger an additional $25.00 charge. So we stayed away until after our appointment. When I checked in they asked how long I was staying and then the manager spoke on and on about all the wonderful sights to see in the area as if she was enticing me to stay longer. There were standard forms to complete in order to register when we arrived. Then we were given a separate little note that I was required to initial. The little note said that I understood that if I did one of 15 things, the hotel would charge me $500.00. All I recalled was not leaving the pet in the room and not bringing the pet to the breakfast that was supposedly included in the hotel cost. I asked for a copy of the pet policy form two different times from two different desk clerks and was told twice ”NO! The manager says we never give our pet policy to anyone.” There were two women clerks who stayed together whether they were behind the desk or patroling the hallways. I later asked them, if I brought my dog with me to the doorway of the breakfast area, if the front desk clerk (seated six feet from the breakfast area entrance) could hold my pet's leash for two minutes while I got my ”included breakfast” to bring back to my room. As an alternative, I asked if I could stand at the doorway to the breakfast room with my dog and tell the attendant what I would like for my ”breakfast included with my room fee.” I thought that these seemed like the kind gestures of one human towards another who was not allowed to leave her pet in the room as per the 15 point list they had me initial when I checked in. First they told me that they would ask their manager and text me the answer. After they did not contact me after three hours, I went to the front desk and asked the two women again. This time one of them called their manager and, with the manager on the phone, she told me ”The manager says we only make boxed breakfasts for construction workers who have to get up early.” I told her ”Great! But what is the answer to my question?” She talked to the manager on the phone some more and hung up the phone. Then she proceeded to tell me, ”The manager said emphatically that we will only do this once for you and this WILL NOT happen again for you.”

I am highly allergic to cats and dogs. Yes, even hypo-allergenic dogs. I’m very cautious to always book at pet free hotels when traveling. This was a designated stay & play team hotel for my sons soccer tournament and we were booked for 4 days. Upon check in, I stepped on something crunchy as I entered our hotel room and discovered it was dry cat food. Our room looked clean but I discovered more cat food throughout our room in various places. I immediately asked the front desk attendant if we could be moved to a room that is designated as ‘pet free’ and was told, “there have been pets in all of our rooms. We can send someone down to vacuum again.” With it being a soccer tournament as well as Spring Training for baseball there was no availability to be moved to different hotel location or even a different hotel all together. Unfortunately, the additional vacuuming + spending as little time as possible in the room + sleeping fully covered in a long sleeved hooded top, long pants & socks did not delay my onset of severe allergic reactions. The first night I had difficulty breathing after the first hour, developed hives and rashes all over my body & my eyes were nearly swollen shut. I was miserable. There was no apology offered, no effort made to compensate me beyond the 5 minute additional vacuuming. Please be advised although they state on their website they are a ‘pet free’ hotel, THEY ARE NOT. They will essentially make NO effort to compensate you or accommodate you for falsely advertising themselves as a Pet Free hotel and don’t care if you’re sick and miserable.

Great customer service!! I stay here quite often and although Motel 6 can't do much about the area or about some of the guests, I feel that they try to compensate by giving great customer service and helping out however they need to! Great job!
