The room was really beautiful with a view of the sea and the clock tower. Check-in was a bit confusing; I went to check-in at The Hill building and waited about 10 minutes before they sent me to The Sea building. The view was great, though the air conditioning took a little while to cool down. The room was well-equipped with an iron, hairdryer, kettle, dishes, and a microwave. It's a shame the bathroom had a slight musty smell.

Basically this is like Airbnb not hotel. As this is the first time we travel to Phu Quoc, we did not have very good experiences with this apartment. It’s a dual key studio apartment. So there’s a main door and 2 rooms. 1. When we first arrived, we have to wait for the agent to come meet us at the front desk. 2. After she bring us up to the room. We have to wait for them to send water and towels to us. 3. When we came back to the room that night, we realised the aircon wasn’t working, so we called the agent and she did not pick up. We went to the front desk and they told us is not under their care. We have to wait till the next day morning for the agent to get back to us. 4. We wasted more than half a day waiting for the agent to settle the aircon issue. We requested to change room, as the room beside us have checked out in the morning. But the agent didn’t allow us and asked to wait for the repair man. Honestly, is it even appropriate to have the repair man coming into the room when both of us are girls. Especially when we are in a foreign country. The room was not well maintained with broken chairs in the balcony and broken bedside table. The toilet bind was moldy too. Utterly disappointed with such service from the agent.

I wouldn't recommend this place. For me, the cons far outweigh the few pros. We arrived at 12 PM, but check-in wasn't until 3 PM. We couldn't leave our luggage in the lobby or even in our room. We had to arrange with another hotel to store our bags in their lobby, and we're very grateful they agreed. Otherwise, we would have been stuck guarding our luggage in a lobby with only two chairs. Check-in was supposed to be at 3 PM, but the owner didn't show up until 3:40 PM. After we went up to the room, we found it still hadn't been cleaned. It took another 40 minutes for them to clean it. We finally got into our room at 4:30 PM. The bedding and towels were clean, but the mirrors were dirty, there was a dirty cobweb hanging from the exhaust fan above the bed, the bedside table was broken off, a wire was sticking out of the wall, the cabinet handle in the kitchen was missing, and the shower drain was so bad you'd be standing in a puddle of dirty water while showering. The shower curtain was black with mold. In the kitchen sink, there were hairs and food, and the dish sponge looked like it had died a year ago but was still sitting there. The stove made a strange buzzing sound and smelled of burnt plastic after use, all the dishes were dirty, and there was no rice cooker. The room didn't have toothbrushes, tissues, or any other toiletries. They don't clean the room, and they won't even provide a broom or a rag if you ask, so all the sand will be in your bed within a day. There's a washing machine but no dryer. The air conditioner blows directly on your head if you're lying in bed. You have to take out your own trash to a special room, but no one ever collected it, so the hallway smelled terrible. You're also on your own to find trash bags. You can hear loud music from nearby establishments working late into the night. Breakfast is included at a cafe across the street, but you can go to the same cafe at any time for the same price without being tied to a hotel booking. The view is nice, but you're better off booking a room at any other nearby hotel.

The lady who checked us in was an hour late, even though we arrived at 4 PM. The bedding hadn't been changed. The view from the room was great though, you could see the fireworks perfectly. The show on stage wasn't very good. You can use the pool 24 hours. You can bring alcohol to the pool and people smoke there too.

I was really surprised when I tried to check in because, due to some system issue, the room I had booked was canceled. This was even after I received check-in instructions from Trip.com the day before! Anyway, I eventually managed to check in. The rooftop pool and the amazing view were great. The location was also really good; it was close to the cable car and perfect for exploring Sunset Town. However, the towels provided were incredibly, incredibly dirty 😭. They were so dirty I questioned if they were even towels. Over our 2-night, 3-day stay, 8 towels were provided for 4 people, but they were so dirty, and we ran out, so I asked for replacements, but I got no response. When I reported that the bathroom light wasn't working, they fixed it right away, so it was working normally from the second day onwards.

This is an apartment hotel, and they allowed us to check in early (3 hours) for 400 dong. The room has a washing machine, induction hob, fridge, microwave, dishes, kettle, and so on. There's air conditioning, a shower cabin, a toilet, and, most importantly, great water pressure. We stayed in room 1802 and had a view of the evening fireworks. There's also a pool on the roof. We're very satisfied and highly recommend it!

The room offered a magnificent view, which was precisely why we chose to stay here. However, there were some unpleasant aspects: it felt quite dirty. The linens desperately need replacing; what was once white now has a yellowish tint. The shower curtain in the bathroom was covered in mold due to humidity. There's a washing machine, but absolutely nowhere to dry clothes. There's a pull-out sofa by the bed, but no bedding was provided for it. We requested a pillow for our child and some towels, which were all brought, and we ended up all sleeping together. The rooftop pool is officially closed, as indicated by a sign, but people still use it. The water is incredibly cold and smells overwhelmingly of chlorine. I'd love to see more cleanliness; then it would be worth returning. In its current state, it's probably a one-time stay.

We booked an apartment at Hillside Residence Phú Quốc through Trip.com. We stayed in room 1405 on the 14th floor. Our apartment was La Phan Phu Quoc, Hillside Apartment. I want to warn you about all the unexpected issues you might encounter during your stay. 1. The mattress in the bedroom is so hard that lying on a yoga mat on the floor would feel just as firm. 2. The water pressure in the shower is extremely, extremely low, and you'll never get hot water. You'll have to wash your hair with cold water. That's just how it is. 3. Our room was not cleaned, nor was the trash emptied even once during our entire stay. We raised this issue with reception, but it yielded no results. So, for my money, I'm expected to clean the floors and take out the trash myself. Yet, the price here is three times higher than other hotels. 4. No water is provided or brought to the room. Not even upon check-in. 5. If you're booking an apartment to watch a show for free, don't be fooled; it's like watching TV from another room through a keyhole. It's better to buy tickets and truly enjoy the show without deceiving yourself. 6. We booked an apartment through Trip.com for two adults and a 16-year-old child. Upon check-in, we were asked to pay an additional 300,000 VND per night for the child, even though our booking clearly stated 'two adults + 1 child aged 16'. You can easily verify my words by trying to book this hotel. We tried explaining this for a long time using Google Translate, but we were completely ignored. When we asked if we would receive a receipt for the extra payment, they refused, and when I asked to pay by credit card, they also refused. This certainly feels like a scam if they deny you documentation for your payment. And as a result, they didn't even provide bedding for the child, so the child had to sleep directly on the sofa. We had to use our towels as bedding and give our pillow to the child. 6. On the positive side, the apartment offers a beautiful sea view from the balcony, and the room itself is clean and bright. 7. The rooftop pool is not operational. 8. Even with the balcony windows closed, you can hear voices, traffic noise, and car horns until 2 AM, so earplugs are necessary for sleep. 9. Upon check-in, the staff doesn't explain the living conditions. For example, we couldn't exit the room for 30 minutes. It turns out you have to press the 'close' button twice to open the door from the inside. There are no informational signs or explanations on how to open the door from the inside. 10. Waking up in the morning, you see a ventilation grille on the ceiling covered in cobwebs. It wouldn't be difficult to clean with a vacuum cleaner. 11. The clothes dryer on the balcony is already rusty, and you'd be afraid to hang even dark clothes on it to dry. 12. Check-in is a whole ordeal. We arrived at 12:00 PM and were told to wait until 2:00 PM. We asked if we could leave our luggage in storage and go for a walk until check-in. They flatly refused, stating there's no luggage storage and it's unsafe and forbidden to leave belongings there. What kind of nonsense is that? We had to sit and wait until 2:00 PM. 13. They only provide one key card per room. Conclusion: I recommend booking a hotel anywhere else, and just coming here to wander around, enjoy the show, and then return to your hotel to sleep. I've attached video evidence to support my claims. https://maps.app.goo.gl/UHSnwq1wnsuHKPG49
