This place is still under construction, and getting a Grab ride is a nightmare—drivers keep canceling orders. Without a car, you’re basically stuck, as public transport isn’t an option. We ended up using a private driver, but even after a week, they still struggled to find our location.
Noise is another major issue. The villa we booked had a pool, but construction work started every morning at 7 AM. The sound of pile-driving was so loud that even with all the windows closed, it woke us up, making sleep impossible and leaving us exhausted all day, with no energy to go out and enjoy. The staff couldn’t do anything about it, so their solution was to move us to a lower-grade villa with no refund for the price difference. The new place was much smaller, with fewer amenities, no pool, and cramped rooms. They also refused to let us use the third floor, restricting us to the ground and second floors, as if they were afraid of losing out. Meanwhile, we were the ones losing out, especially after being woken up by noise two mornings in a row.
Honestly, they shouldn’t even be renting out the pool villas—no one can tolerate that level of noise. Their response felt almost smug. Screenshots of our conversation: “We can’t guarantee the noise won’t happen again.” “If the noise continues tomorrow, then we’ll help you change rooms.” It gave off a “not our problem, deal with it” vibe. After that, I stopped bothering to ask for their help.
Hygiene was another big issue. Since we stayed for a week, the bedding and floors needed regular cleaning, but every day we came back to the same old sheets and a noticeably dirty floor. The cups had lipstick stains, the non-stick coating on the frying pan was peeling off, and the cookware was so worn out it was unusable. The cutlery was low-quality, so we ended up using disposable chopsticks from takeout. The dishwashing sponge was filthy, and when we asked for a new one, they gave us another dirty one. In the end, we went to the supermarket to buy our own sponge just to avoid the hassle.
There are plenty of other options on Phu Quoc Island, and I strongly recommend staying at a hotel for better safety and convenience. Even ordering takeout here is a pain—delivery drivers don’t know how to get in, so you have to walk 10 minutes to the gate to meet them. The path is pitch black, and even if you manage to get there, finding your way back is a challenge. The occupancy rate of these villas is extremely low, and many are still under construction—it feels like a ghost town.
If you’re planning a relaxing vacation in Phu Quoc, this place is absolutely not suitable. I’ve heard that other travelers, including some from mainland China, also couldn’t stand the noise and demanded refunds or to change rooms. The main issue is the overall lack of proper facilities and management. The cleaners are lazy and seem unsupervised. The room’s TV was broken, flickering constantly, and they didn’t replace it—how much does a TV even cost? The staircase had no lighting, so we had to use our phone flashlights to go up and down at night. Overall, the value for money is abysmal. Before we left, they even had the audacity to ask for a five-star review while claiming the noise wasn’t their responsibility. It felt like they were constantly lying. By the way, if you book a car through them, the fare is 2-3 times higher than normal—guess where the extra money goes? There are too many issues to list fully. The so-called “services” they provide aren’t even managed by their company, so if something goes wrong, there’s no way to file a complaint. It’s best to avoid their “services” altogether, and honestly, just don’t stay here. Booking this place was the worst decision I made on this Phu Quoc trip.
