Orchid Resortel

Orchid Resortel turned out to be a really nice place. Everything in the room was a little old but very clean and nothing was broken. The room itself was spacious with a small balcony. There was a bathtub and a big fridge in my room too. The staff is friendly and welcoming, proper cleaning and changing towels was done daily. The bed was very comfortable, not too soft but not hard at all and they have great pillows - soft and big; good bed sheets, too. The hotel has a 24-hour front desk and free luggage storage. Their restaurant is open around the clock too; I ate there only twice but the food was good. The safe in the room was big enough to fit in even a laptop. The location is right in the heart of Patong next to Bangla street with lots of different restaurants, pharmacies, travel agencies and small shops around. A 7/11 store is right next to the hotel entrance. JungCeylon shopping mall is just a five minutes walk away and it takes around ten minutes to get to Patong beach by foot. If you want to take Smartbus to go to other parts of the island, bus stops are very close to the hotel. The main problem of this place is noise though: you can hear music from the street, motorcycles and people shouting and laughing outside all night long. But I was ready for that. This street gets quiet only by 6 -6:30 am (and not for long!) I could sleep only with earplugs, so if you are a light sleeper look for another hotel. The pool on the roof is very nice and clean but super small. Even though this is not the most beautiful street in Phuket, but it is convenient to stay here because it is so close to everything. Will definitely stay here again.

Room is fine but the manager is very rude and unprofessional ..avoid the restaurantbat all the cost.They lack basic hospitality as they are always busy.Management needs to address the managers attitude or change the manager with immediate effect. Note only manager was a poor experience others were great.

Location is good for walking everywhere, too much noise throughout the night as it is a busy street. Avoid the restaurant at all costs.The manager lacks any hospitality skills and is very unpleasant. She even says they dont care about reviews . Plenty of places in patong that value guests.. this place is one you should avoid mainly due to the manager.

Great place to stay to be right near the action without the noise. Has a bar and restaurant attached and the staff is a great help. They accommodated is to the room type we needed and let us keep our bags there, while we took 2 days to Phi Phi. Highly recommended

I stayed here for 5 nights and had a fantastic stay. All the staff were polite and helpfull and made me feel very welcomed. The rooms were cleaned every day. 2 water bottles were provided each day and the room was equipped with air conditioning. The location is un-beatable and walking distance to all the nightlife, shopping and restaurants. The beach is only a short walk. I highly recommend staying at The Orchid Resortel and will definately booking again when I come back next year!

SCAM.... I paid for their best most expensive room with a balcony and view and large room. When I checked in they gave me a tiny dirty room with a small window with a window looking at a brick wall 30 cm away. By the way they told me there were only 3 rooms taken at that time. The room they gave me was $40 a night less but refused to refund the difference. They said" well that's what you get when you book with us" "we decide your room not what you book" They were insistent the the window was a balcony!!! The next day I told them I would post on trip advisor so they 'upgraded' to the room I had paid for. They demanded $40 a night for this to upgrade me (in cash) I think the staff were self profiteering. I have read many other sites reviews similar story.

Staff service want me to pay 300 baht becuase they say they don't got full price for the room becuase ******* cut off the money and then don't have full price for the room
