Kata Sea Breeze Resort Reviews

Although the age of the resort shows in some areas, overall it was nice. My one complaint is that they are so cheap with certain things… they don’t give even one minute early check in or late check-out and are super stingy with toiletries. You have to reach into the shower to use the wall mounted shower gel as hand soap and they never replenish the shower caps, etc that they do provide.  I’m all for saving the environment, but even 2 star hotels have toothbrushes or lotion upon request. Nothing here. It’s a pity… what would’ve cost them a few cents really changes the way you feel about forking over the money to stay here.

The food is very good! The staff also really friendly! Everything clean! You can enjoy your stay there :)

The service was good, location is not far from the beach, the territory is big enough. We just didn’t like that it was very crowded and pools and rooms are located in such a way that it feels like you are in a dormitory. We wanted more privacy and space, so we changed the hotel.

We are a little disappointed with this venue. The location is quite central in Kata, with everything in walking distance in this district. The landscaping is lovely however the rooms are not what the pics depict and are old and run down. That being said, it wasn't awful, I'm just over hotels using old pictures and photoshopped pics as it's deceiving. We paid for pool access room which was nice. Beds were comfortable and room was a good size. The cleaning staff didn't replenish our bathroom items like shower caps vanity kit etc, and didn't provide soap at all even though we left tips. They did clean well though. The pools are lovely, the place has 4 of them. The gym was pretty basic so if you're a gym enthusiast you're better off paying for somewhere else to use. We found the hotel pretty stingy in general. Only provided 3 teas and coffees in the rooms as we'd only paid for 3 guests. Had to ask each time for more if we needed. We had asked for a late checkout of only 1 hour and they wanted to charge me 250 bhat extra after already paying for 7 nights. Initially we asked at check in time but they said we had to wait closer to our checkout time as it would depend on bookings. I checked again yesterday as hotel wasn't busy with empty rooms and figured it should be OK. Firstly it's OK for a late check out if we pay, but when I questioned the fee given our length of stay and we were only asking for 1 hour max they then said the room was booked. If the room was booked for next guests, I'm unsure as to why paying 250 bhat would make a difference? The breakfast selection was not as great as a lot of other places we had stayed at of the same level. Overall, it wasn't an awful place, just disappointing as it could of been a lot better. Don’t book room for 3 persons. They give you foldable bed. It might be ok for kids but not for adults. The isolation is also very poor, you can hear your neighbors talking. Very bad experience

Pros: Good location for families, it’s quieter than Patong but there is still a good nightlife a little walk/short taxi drive away. Lots of pools for fun at the hotel Nice rooms with good amenities Good transport links around Very close to the beach, which is beautiful Lots of places to eat very close by. Cons: Can get quite busy in high season, lots of families with kids which is great if you have children but was a little overwhelming, this place would be amazing if a little less busy!

Great location and nice pools. The breakfast was decent. When we got to our room the air conditioner was leaking with a large puddle. Three guys came to fix it but only one seemed to do anything while the others just sort of stood there and chatted. A lot of things about the room just seem out of date/broken down like the AC and the shower head. We stayed for two nights but were only given WiFi access for one night for some reason. There were also tiny ants/bugs around the coffee area in the room and the fridge would turn off when we left the room because the room key was needed for power.

Exists of some buildings, that's why there are several swimmingpools.Breakfast is great. There is not a feeling of your second home, less trust in clients. When you check in you must give $100, with breakfast they expect you to eat what you can eat, at swimmingpool no food or drinks( 1000 baht fine) Don't want you to use more towels. Too me it's fine, I care about the environment, but not all people think the same. My advice to the resort Grade up the resort, make the price of your room higher, so that you get the customer group you want without making so many rules.
